4. PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE RECORDED THAT!
THAT WAS INCREDIBLE.

I just tuned in (online) when he played it the second time, so I didn't have time to capture the stream.

PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE RECORDED THAT or knows where to find a copy!
Everyone needs to hear it.

5. This one ...?
"The Silent Majority" Speech - November 3, 1969

"Good evening, my fellow Americans:

Tonight I want to talk to you on a subject of deep concern to all Americans and to many people in all parts of the world--the war in Vietnam.

I believe that one of the reasons for the deep division about Vietnam is that many Americans have lost confidence in what their Government has told them about our policy. The American people cannot and should not be asked to support a policy which involves the overriding issues of war and peace unless they know the truth about that policy.

Tonight, therefore, I would like to answer some of the questions that I know are on the minds of many of you listening to me."

6. I heard this and it was so spot on that it gave me chills.
They only substituted the word "Iraq" for "Vietnam," and it was Bush*'s words, practically verbatim, about how we cannot pull our troops out until the Vietnamese are trained to defend themselves and how announcing an exit date would only cause the enemy to wait us out. In 1969, Nixon said what Bush* is now saying and look how that turned out. Bush* never learned the lessons of Vietnam. It was foolish to institute tax cuts in time of war and no war can be successful without the support of the American people, but there is so much more that he hasn't learned. But we know that Bush* is a very poor student of history, has no awareness of the rest of the world and, most important, though he was around for Vietnam, he wasn't exactly paying attention...:grr:
