Another Controversial Video - Moral quandaries -
Here is a clip to discuss:

http://www.theync.com/childrenvideo.htm

This is a clip of a military fuel convoy. As it travels, Iraqi children line the roads and are throwing rocks at the vehicles.

The narrator will probably upset people, but this shows one of the issues facing American soldiers.

Now, let's leave off the argument of we should not be in Iraq in the first place. I think all of us here believe we should not be there in the first place, but how should something like this be dealt with?

Myself, I'd have trucks with grates welded in such a way that they could be dropped over the glass of these vehicles.

Anyone else?

1. Guy is complaining about not being able to mow them down in their
own country. Soooooo, we are creating an entire generation that will now be willing to do whatever it takes to get even with Amurka, fanfreakingtastic.

10. And they call them horrible names
These are children. And they're laughing. I wonder if these military men know what they're doing there. Every rightwinger who claims "good" is going on there should see this.

4. It is absolute proof that nothing good will come from our staying
You are breeding a new generation of rabid American haters. Plus you can clearly see our men in the military are burnt out and have forgotten why we are supposed to be there.

9. Uhhhhh.... I guess even though shrub is stubborn, and since our
presence there is only adding to the urgency (to get out) the only way to find out is to see what happens next. Sad to say there isn't much else that is going to tell us where this will all end up. I wish it were different but until the cons are gone, it probably won't be.

How will they be once they return to society? And this site is supposed to be a conservative site? Wow. And here I thought they were supposed to be "compassionate." Maybe I didn't get the memo or something.

12. I don't blame the soldiers
They are burnt out. They are risking thier lives for no good cause. They are surrounded by people that hate them. That sort of situation will break down any man or woman.

6. Neocon Rummy Redefine needed: "hurled rocks" are now "Flowers and Music"

"A war that was founded on lies and illusions has one simple truth: Iraqis do not want us" by Robert Fisk, 09 April 2004

(I wonder how many of those kids' families have been ripped apart by Bush' phoney-"preemptive war" murders for rights of Exxon Mobil Corp, Chevron, Conoco, Shell Oil Co. and BP America Inc to divvy up Iraqi oil fields.)

There's no moral quandary for the people who sabotaged democracy and stole elections, lied to attack a country for reasons unrelated to 9/11 (after not improbably LIHOP/MIHOP), allowed 800 tons of explosives to be looted in Iraq (now IEDs), deliberately sabotaged a multi-nationwide CIA WMD-monitoring operation, deliberately ignored response to Katrina, and rewarded their "incompetent" minions ("aspens") with Medals of Freedom and promotions (Bremer, Rice->Sec. State, Wolfowitz->World Bank): THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE!...as long as their long-term Norquist script is being carried out. These murdering "serious businessmen" neocons see themselves "Beyond Good and Evil" and "Beyond Christianity" (and ...Beyond Democracy and the Constitution).

Eisenhower warned against them in 1954, and they empowered themselves via coup d'etats through Election System Fraud in 2000 and 2004:
DDE, Presidential Papers, Document #1147; November 8, 1954...Now it is true that I believe this country is following a dangerous trend when it permits too great a degree of centralization of governmental functions. I oppose this--in some instances the fight is a rather desperate one. But to attain any success it is quite clear that the Federal government cannot avoid or escape responsibilities which the mass of the people firmly believe should be undertaken by it. The political processes of our country are such that if a rule of reason is not applied in this effort, we will lose everything--even to a possible and drastic change in the Constitution. This is what I mean by my constant insistence upon "moderation" in government. Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid...

The Election System is still compromised by the technology; it can happen again in 2006 and 2008.

13. I like the part where he says
"We havea busted windshield, but oh no, I'm not allowed to use deadly force".

Hmm...cracked glass vs. the life of a 10 year old child? Apparently, this motherfucker thinks his windshield is more important.
