It helps to live in Manhattan, because you have to get there early and wait in line, even if you have ticket confirmation. They were FULL tonight, as I am sure they are most nights, but it's worth waiting in line.

17. It takes a little longer to tape.

They do take the commercial breaks and reset the camer angles and all that stuff. They do a warm-up before the show with a comedian and then bring him on to take questions. He is SO freaking hilarious. His guest brought down the house too. GREAT SHOW!

I used to go there to wait for the guests to come out...now I go to the new TDS studio a few blocks down.

How do the tix for the Colbert Report work? I know TDS has standby and "real" tickets...same for TCR?

Anyway, that's so awesome that you got to go! I'd want to go but then, I like meeting the guests better... :P Maybe I'll do it.
