Say - does anyone remember last Thanksgiving on DU?
I seem to remember lots and lots of threads with people dreading seeing relatives, wondering how to put up with the
RW gloating. Haven't seen any so far this year! Has the worm maybe turned? Is it possible we'll get to do some gloating ourselves? Well, Happy Thanksgiving everyone - don't go overboard, you'll only regret it...

3. I wonder if the Freepers
are dreading seeing their Democratic (and especially DU) relatives and bemoaning the fact that they have some pretty tepid talking points left. Heh! Heh! Heh!

6. I don't remember anything for like a month or so after the "election."
I think I'm just supressing all that.

Wonder how many Bush-bots feel like gloating right now anyway?

8. There's been a lot of loin-girding this year
A lot of people preparing to deal with wingnut relatives, but the mood is much brighter.

Me, I'm spending the day alone and barbecuing some ribs. I'll bet half of the people here will envy me.

10. I plan on locking myself in my basement
playing with my kitten Tsonga, and practicing songs on my harmonica.
I wont even sit at the table.

11. I was sicker than a dog after the election
literally wound up having an ulcer, of course it was h. pylori, but the stress probably made it worse (or maybe all the coffee and Copenhagen?) so the doctor say.

This year things seem brighter. I mean, let's face it, we still have three more years of Little Lord Faulkeroy, but at least his unpopularity has stifled him for a moment.

It is hard for the little shithead to be on offensive when he pretty much has to defend everything.

Keep on the pressure. It keeps them off balance and keeps us somewhat safe from his "ideas".

12. I'm not sure I was here yet but remember being in a blind rage
for the month of November, knowing we got ripped off yet again and listening to idiots like Donna Brazzile using RNC talking points about those mythical values voters.

What a load of turkey that was.
