My email reply from Danny Bubp
I sent an email to Mr. Bupb on Saturday, expressing outrage at the tactics he and Mean Jean employed against Mr. Murtha. This evening,
I have just received the following response.

Dear ,

Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding the comments made by Congresswoman Jean Schmidt on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. Your concerns are important to me and, if I may, I would like to clarify the matter.

My conversation with Congresswoman Schmidt was based entirely on the resolution to immediately withdraw our troops from Iraq. I had serious concerns with the resolution and, as both a marine and as a constituent myself, I felt compelled to share with her my perspective on the issue.

Let me be clear, the comments and concerns I shared with Congresswoman Schmidt were based strictly on the proposal. We never discussed anyone by name and there was no intent to disparage the congressman or his distinguished record of service for our nation.

I hope this information is helpful in clarifying the matter.

Sincerely,

State Representative Danny R. Bubp
88th Ohio House District

1. Then, why was the msg sent via Schmidt to Murtha....
if it was not intended for anyone specifically?

They really think we're stupid, don't they?

4. I saw an article yesterday that said the same thing.........
....it said Bupb's spokesperson said he never a comment toward Murtha, it was unclear whether or not he made the statement at all.

And tonight, Olbermann said the same thing........that mean Jean lied about Bupb having made the comment in the first place.

17. House gopuke leadership set up Schmidt to say *all* of that
"when someone walks up to that microphone, you can pretty much guarantee that party leadership approved it" according to KO's guest last night.

Jean-us and Bubp-head just gave their base a little shot of hate to focus their psychotic energies. That was not an accident. Remember Terri Schiavo?

6. Horse shit. He knew (or damn well SHOULD have known) Murtha's
proposal was NOT for 'immediate withdrawl.' )I know I'm preaching to the choir here as we know that was Duncan Hunter's (R-CA) stunt.

7. No you're unfortunately NOT preaching to the choir
Over and over and over again--Uers and M$M, and even Helen Thomas, in a recent column, have stated the matter inaccurately as Murtha's call for immediate withdrawal of troops. I've even seen DUers posting about their outrage because Dems didn't support Murtha's resolution.

It's been driving me NUTS!

11. Glad to hear you got a reply. Thanks.
Hard to believe that Murtha's name was not mentioned in the telephone call since it was in regard to Murtha's proposal. So Mr. Buph is shifting all the blame on Schmidt. Maybe they won't be so cosy after this.

12. It makes no difference
If he wasn't disparaging Murtha, he was disparaging other patriotic Americans who have the right to dissent.

This is not supporting the Constitution. He has no right to take freedoms away from any American - Marine or civilian.

13. Dear Bubp,
'The proposal' you seem to be referring to - i.e. immediate withdrawal - was proposed by Republicans, not Murtha.

I hope this information is helpful in clarifying your brain matter.

Sincerely,

15. Yes, thanks for pointing that out
But I heard Schmitzkreig say that her friend the Col. had called her and asked her to 'deliver a message to Rep. Murtha' and the message was that 'only cowards cut and run'. I'm almost certain that's what she said, and that was the reason for the outcry.

So, when emailing the stay-at-home Marine Col. it might help if someone were to ask him outright 'was she lying?'

I'll check the transcript, if I decide to write to him, but that's my memory of what was said.

And you're right, it should also be pointed out to him, that no one voted on Murtha's proposal ~

24. Just another CON implication that Murtha wanted immediate withdrawl.
Notice how they manage to turn, even this, into an opportunity to propagandize their lies.

Swing voters just assume that immediacy is the issue that separates right from left. They're sure, and they're wrong.

A rookie doesn't get up there and do something like that without being pushed by the leadership.
