Rupert Murdoch Supported Al Gore in 2000? What the Hell?
Fox's owner, NewsCorp Chairman Rupert Murdoch, supported Al Gore in the 2000 election and contributed $50,000 to the Gore campaign.

2. he may have contributed to both campaigns
Rich assholes like to cover their bases. Plus, Gore isn't beyond helping out big business himself, so it's a solid investment either way.

7. In other words, a little to say...
"Oh, look. He gave to Al Gore. He isn't biased!" That's the only reasonable explaination that's entered my head.

5. It's called bullshit cover for his agenda.
Just like ENRON giving around 75% to Repukes and 25% to Dems. It's a cheap hedge against partisan behavior for personal/corporate gain.

Remember, it's not the giving of money that's the problem, it's what you are GIVEN in return. This is where the Dem message could use refinement, imo. The fact that it takes money to win should not be the issue, especially since the repukes have such a strong advantage, the argument should be placed on what is DONE IN RETURN for the money. I think the Dems come out winners in this one.

6. newsmax is worse than enquirer
not sure about whether murdoch's companies contributed to al gore (it's common to give to both parties for large corporations), but no way did he support al gore. but you shouldn't use newsmax to look for the truth. most of it is lies and worse than the national enquirer.

9. Look at the actual reports...
As you can see from my post above, the only way any of Rupert's money went to Gore would be if the $$ from the MPAA helped Gore's campaign.

I have no f*cking idea what they're talking about.
