1. Wouldn't it be fairer to say the president made a fool of himself?

18. Me too
Four front-page pics of a ten-second incident? If it weren't Bush, I'd think it's a little unfair. Since it's Bush, I'm loving it. Who says we have to be consistent?

7. The NYT Doesn't Need To Do That.
When a man is too stupid to go to an open door, he's pretty much embarrassing himself

16. Important mission.. Ok, then I guess * will call a press conference asap
detailing exactly what his mission entailed? Or is * just going to just keep it to himself.

23. A mission so important that the Administration downplayed expectations
that anything would come of it?

Bush's Asia Trip Meets Low Expectations
By Peter Baker and Philip P. Pan
Washington Post Staff Writers
Monday, November 21, 2005; Page A01

BEIJING, Nov. 20 -- When President Bush was flying toward Asia a week ago, his national security adviser, Stephen J. Hadley, predicted to reporters in the back of the plane that the four-nation trip would yield no "headline breakthroughs." He turned out to be right.

As Bush wrapped up his stay in Beijing on Sunday and prepared to head home Monday after a brief stop in Mongolia, the trip has produced no real breakthroughs of any sort. On a wide variety of issues, from trade to security to human rights, Bush won no concrete agreements from any of his summit partners. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/20/AR2005112000827.html

27. he should have accomplished something then.
this was the most newsworth aspect of his stupid trip. he didn't get anything done because the rest of the world know's he's a fake president and that american democracy has been hijaacked.

4. That's the way they think.
Anything embarassing should be covered up. No matter if it's the truth. That doesn't matter -- you have to hide it. If you don't, you're not patriotic.

31. Remember Monica and that silly little Tam and their hug?

They had that image in our face for many a year, night and day.

So if Jr. could not figure out how to have an "Exit Strategy" that goes along with his total package regarding the war.

I don't feel sorry for him one little bit.

And, the Democrats are not doing it to him, his buddies at the TIME have decided he has got to go.

9. Drudge Had it Too.......

Drudge reported it too, was he also trying to make a fool out of Bush ?

Scarborough is just an idiot, if Clinton did something like that Scarborough and his right wing friends would talk about it for a week.

Plus Bush dont need the media to make a fool out of him, he does a hell of a job all by himself.

10. What bull--and, yes, the
picture of it is on at least one of the other threads. There has been plenty of coverage of how this trip to Asia was a throw away and that no one really believed anything would get accomplished--except letting the pres. show how something as simple as a locked door could flummox him and letting him yammer about China letting the Christians worship as they pleased.

12. Important mission? What? Lecturing the Chinese on the way they govern
and recognizing wishing blessings on all the Chinese Christians to the exclusion of the rest? Being an arrogant ass (as usual)? Making references to Taiwan knowing that's just gonna cause ill will?

bush** disgraced us and himself (again, as usual).

21. I thought Repubs believed in personal responsibility
Bush made the faces at a camera. It's his problem if they get published, not the NYTimes. Why should they withhold pictures just because the dumbass doesn't know how to be digified.

Bush's comments: 1) Democrats had same intelligence, 2) Commissions found pre-war intelligence not misused, were untrue. The worm has turned, even pro-Republican papers are in on the pig pile.

32. Joe's right!!!
As if Junior hasn't made enough of a fool of himself, now the NYT has to step in and print actual pictures of the moran (sic) making a fool og himself! That's unthinkable! That's downright un-Bushevik which is to say un-Patriotic!

:sarcasm:
