I will be sure to watch. I found a couple of puppies on petfinder that were rescued from under a home in NO. They are up for adpoption in NC and I just may try and adopt one.

3. An incredible story in the paper today

about a dog that was left in a boarded up house in New Orleans by its owners. The house was flooded but somehow (nobody knows how) the dog got out, ended up in a shelter in Chicago and was finally reunited with her owners who are now in Florida, and of course the loving dog was happy to see them. Board me up in a house then flood it with 10 feet of water, I'd be looking for new owners.

I can not imagine doing that to one of my pets. I would drown with them before leaving one behind.
