Ouch. Rumsfeld blames General Vines and General Casey
Edited on Sun Nov-20-05 11:16 AM by LizW
for troop misallocation. Says he never turned down any request for troops, but maybe they did.

Now he says he didn't advocate invasion of Iraq. :wow:

This is on This Week.

It's surreal.

Oh, and we've never tortured, either.

1. That is not nice for the Sec of Defense
to point fingers at his own people on National TV. Very inappropriate.

5. They will turn to canabalism before they tell the truth.
The truth will not set these criminals free. It will put them behind bars.

3. Look at Stephanopolis' face!
Rumsfeld says we have overwhelmingly treated people humanely. George looks like he's straining to keep a straight face!

4. He's trying to cover his own miserable behind yet again.
How can these guys lie with impunity? Doesn't he know there will be all kinds of articles tomorrow disputing his words? Ah, but he knows most people won't be paying attention. x(

7. GS: "Mr. Secretary, that's all we have time for today..."
George S. looked nauseated. His tone clearly said, "That's all the steaming bullshit we have time for today..."

You know, I think I understand why the mainstream news has these people on. They EXPECT us to be able to look and see what unconscionable liars they are.

10. * is going to rue the day he declined to cut this fascist loose.
Course Rummy probably blackmailed him, as in we're all guilty of the crime and if I go down you'll follow.

11. Under normal circumstances, I would find this unbelievable

However, I've been living under this man's regime for the last 5 years so I'm honestly not surprised by anything.

When he gets done with this, it will probably become the Bad War that the Evil Democrats Talked him Into Fighting Against his Better Judgement.

He will do and say absolutely anything to avoid taking responsibility for his own screwups.

Too bad his mommy and daddy never made him clean up his own spilled milk or pick up his own toys.

Edit: I see you were talking about Rumsfeld rather than Chimpy, but my post stands. This is a new line coming from the very top.

12. Is he forgetting his statement about
going to war with the military we have and not the military we wish we had?

Do these idiots realize how dumb they sound? :)

13. The panel is destroying Rumsfeld now
Fareed Zakaria, and the guy with the beard whose name I can't remember.

The beard guy called the Rumsfeld interview "halucinatory".

17. Fareed: "Rumsfeld pretends to be a potted plant"
Fareed was too funny: He says the Defense Secretary is like a "potted plant" -- doesn't make troop deployment decisions, didn't advocate the invasion, doesn't make decisions about treatment of prisoners. So who IS in charge?

18. Is there not ONE person in this administration
who takes responsibility for anything? I've never seen so many "wankers." Whine, whine, whine--"it wasn't me"--"it's not my fault"--"I didn't say that"- God, will just one of them grow up and take responsibility for their actions? Just one!!!!

19. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. What does this sound like? Now what bunch of
thugs once used that excuse 'it wasn't my fault, I was just following orders and doing what I was told. It was the other guy who was responsible.'

Jeez, it just sounds so familiar.
