1. Something eerily creepy hit me as I read thru her entry from yesterday
How similar Falluja and New Orleans were and how the pro-war/pro-GOP supporters treat the people. Essentially saying, "Hey, they knew a world of hurt was going to come down on them. Why didn't they get out beforehand?"

Well, assholes, they COULDN'T!!!

2. That was what Bush was trying to do
He needed to turn New Orleans into a Fallujah in order to have an excuse to turn over the country to military control and he almost succeeded. Fortunately, Gov Blanco was smart enough to withstand Bush's threats and intimidations and she held her ground and kept control of her state. The next day Gen Honore arrived and the situation was turned around.
