Cindy Sheehan's letter to Barbara Bush
this is brutal folks...

brutally honest.

http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/05/11/con05437.html

On August 3rd, 2005, your son said that he killed my son and the other brave and honorable Americans for a "noble cause." Well, Barbara, mother to mother, that angered me. I don't consider invading and occupying another country that was proven not to be a threat to the USA is a noble cause. I don't think invading a country, killing its innocent citizens, and ruining the infrastructure to make your family and your family-friendly war profiteers rich is a noble cause.

So I went down to Crawford in August to ask your son what noble cause did he kill my son for. He wouldn't speak with me. I think that showed incredibly bad manners. Do you think a president, even if it is your son, should be so inaccessible to his employers? Especially one of his bosses whose life George has devastated so completely?

"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?" (Good Morning America, March 18, 2003)

Now I have something to tell you, Barbara. I didn't want to hear about deaths or body bags either. On April 04, 2004, three Army officers came to my house to tell me that Casey was killed in Iraq. I fell on the floor screaming and begging the cruel Angel of Death to take me, too. But the Angel of Death that took my son is your son.

10. She will never read it, it would mess with her beautiful mind

But millions of other people around the world will read it.

It should be on MSM for every Mother to read and to weep for our country and our brave soldiers.

Cindy is a true hero!

13. Go Cindy !!!!!!!!
"But the Angel of Death that took my son is your son."

As the mother of an adult son myself, I can tell you that THAT LINE would hit me real hard ...

... but, of course, I do not think under-privileged people who lost everything in a hurricane are better off. And I didn't give birth to the Demon Seed, either.

GO!!! AWAY!!!

"We" MUST take some more tranquilizers and anti-depressants.

The woman is such damaged goods,...a soul in pregatory. A weak, weak, human being.

I actually pity her.

Cindy has more strength in spirit and human character than that poor woman could ever, ever have.

25. more of that Babs quote: from the Village Voice:
Edited on Thu Nov-17-05 07:59 PM by dennisnyc
"Why should we hear about body bags, and deaths, and how many, what day it's gonna happen?... Or, I mean, it's, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

GMA 3.18.03

Two things strike me:
1) she doesn't care what day "It's gonna happen" AS IF we couldn't or (wouldn't ?) be prepared? hhhuuuh???

2) "it's not relevant" NOT RELEVANT? She is the mother of Satan!

Or, what i really mean is she obviously has no family there in Iraq or Afganistan!!!!

33. Cindy Sheehan is so fearless!
And BBusn & son(s) are clueless about how heartless they are (sorry that sounds so corny, but could there be a bigger contrast between these two mothers?)...

BBush is not only arrogant but she's fearful underneath. She really was afraid of all those poor people moving into Houston from New Orleans!

40. The only problem is that Babs doesn't have a heart
Her offspring prove that, they don't have any either. If life was fair Cindy Sheehan would still have her son Casey and it would have been Babs who lost one of hers to war.

I love Cindy as a Mom. She shows her love for her children and all the world's children, by speaking out against war every day.

Love to Cindy, and her family.

Highly respect, and commend Cindy Sheehan.

Sadly, the Bush's have no decency, nor heart. They're only self-conscionable - that's how they live with their smug, un compassionate selves.

FReepers: They don't care about you're sons & daughters, either.

46. The horrible thing about Cindy
is that her son is dead. This is more then a political position, it is based on a truth too terrible to consider.

Yet everyday more mothers and fathers and siblings and spouses and children and friends learn that someone they love is dead because of this war.

If you live in Iraq the loved one doesn't have to be one who is there fighting. They can be eating or walking and then they are dead because of this war.

It is true people die in many sad ways. Usually when someone is killed by violence that is not self defense, there is a murder charge.

But bush claims these people die in a noble cause. If I had someone killed for financial gain, would that be noble?

I love Cindy but I wish I didn't know anything about her. If Casey wanted to join the military, bless him. We need a prepared military. I wish he had served in a time of peace and now was home, moving on with his life. Maybe Cindy would be learning to knit booties for an expected grandchild. From what we know of Casey his children would be a blessing in the world.

I am sorry Cindy is known to us all. I am sorry. I admire her for unfurling from the ball of pain and using the energy in such a wonderful way. But I wish she didn't have any cause to, that none of us did.

Her cause is what turns out to be the noble cause to give meaning to his death.
