2. As I, too, anxiously await those pictures ...
... I have to think how sad it is that we're waiting for photos and videos of our fellow Americans doing unspeakably inhumane things, in the hopes that publicizing these acts will bring down our own government.

What a sad comment on what this administration has done, not only to innocents in Iraq and Afganistan, but to our nation as a whole.

3. Do you have any idea if something will show up on the court's
site? Somedays I wish I were a lawyer.

7. its time for us to look in the mirror- long
past time. But I agree with you- geez how i wish the reflection would be one of honor and justice, and integrety.

SADLY- in this society, seeing is believing. And that's why these pictures MUST be seen. We can't deny the evil that is 'us' TOO. It may not 'feel' good- but lying is far, far worse-
"It's only a little lump, and it will go away" kills people in the long run- always kills people- Denial is our enemy- that and pride.

"They" are no worse than "us" it is only our perspecitve that differs.- And i don't say that with any pleasure. I'd hope that some day humans would learn.- maybe they will, not that i'll live to see it.

6. "We do not torture" .. George W. Bu$h
"Well, I guess that settles that. ''We do not torture,'' Bush said Monday.
Never mind all those torture pictures from Abu Ghraib.
Never mind all those torture stories from Guantánamo Bay.
Never mind the 2002 Justice Department memo that sought to justify torture.
Never mind reports of U.S. officials sending detainees to other countries for torture.
Never mind Dick Cheney lobbying to exempt the CIA from rules prohibiting torture.
''We do not torture,'' said the president. And that's that, right?
I mean, if you can't believe Bush, who can you believe?

8. "A nation that lives by the 'rule of law'-" (our own version of it)
Other nations, especially those we chose to oppose, are lawless.
Insurgents are not 'freedom-fighters' And "War-lords" are our 'friends' when we say they are good.

They might have ONE 'prisoner of war' from the US- we have countless, unknowable #'s of "enemy combattents"-

bull, cow, dog, sow, pig, hen, cock, doe, buck SHIT-!!! it's all a steaming hot pile of crap.

Shame fills me for what is, has, and will be done- "in my name".
