1. This was SUPPOSED to be the day they release the photos...
But the sound of crickets is only interrupted
by the occasional passing tumbleweed.

4. And it pisses me off that this story has DIED so completely!
We finally get Chimpy McCokeSpoon ON THE RECORD
in a clear, incontravertable LIE:
"We do not torture".

Those 4 words should have bumped the
"2nd batch of AbuGhrab Photos" story to the first 30 seconds
of EVERY news program in this nation!

They aren't some internet rumor, they EXIST!
The Government admits that they exist,
and that they ARE what we have heard they are!

I guess you can tell, this is kinda a favorite ISSUE of mine.

21. Faux News basically said, "So what if we torture?"
Sigh.

This country is morally bankrupt. I feel so discouraged. People who should know better are condoning, aiding and abetting a corrupt government, yet they call US traitors.

17. Does DOD want to get in trouble with * and Co.?
I hope they don't appeal and just get it over with. Or maybe it will come out before the '06 elections...or '08 ELECTION!

8. We follow this story from deadline to deadline...
from goalpost to goalpost.. only to discover that they've been moved further down the field.

I'm beginning to hope that wherever they are, some principled concerned American will just say "Nuts!" and send them on out so we can begin to cleanse the wound.

13. Abu Ghraib Photo Case Update
from KOS

I talked with the press office at the ACLU New York Headquarters to find our where the legal case stands. There is deadline of midnight tonight to the second stay that was granted to the DOD providing enough time to file an appeal to the original order of Judge Hellerstein of September 29th, 2005

16. Wow -- Hellerstein steps up to the plate
"the education and debate that such publicity will foster will strengthen our purpose and, by enabling such deficiencies as may be perceived to be debated and corrected, show our strength as a vibrant and functioning democracy to be emulated."

For a while there it seemed like he would knuckle under.

Part Deux. Seriously, if they don't release the photos, what are they going to do?
