It's working folks...
Anyhow, he spewed on & then made what I consider to be a very real threat to US citizens( that would be Democratic sane US citizens).

He stated he would LIST THE NAMES of people who protested his latest antics. He will post them on his website for all to see. Well, as I see it that is an invitation for his lunatic fringe buddies to start some form of harassment & lord knows where it could lead. What with information access services & such there is no real security nowadays & if someone has a name & an address they can most likely find you. All it's gonna take is some lunatic to follow through...

Last Tuesday, Bill O'Reilly encouraged terrorists to target San Francisco because he was upset that the city voted to ban military recruiters from high-school and college campuses. O'Reilly said "if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco."

At first, O'Reilly defended his comments as "not controversial." That didn't seem to work, so tonight he claimed the whole thing was a "satirical riff." In O'Reilly's view the only real problem is the "internet smear sites" drawing attention to his comments:

"Some far left internet smear sites have launched a campaign to get me fired over my point of view. I believe they do this on a daily basis. This time the theme is O'Reilly is encouraging terrorist attacks. Unbelievably stupid. Not unusual with these guttersnipes."

Fairly typical comments from O'Reilly. But he added an unusual twist. O'Reilly promised to publish the names of everyone who supported these "internet smear sites" on his website:

"I'm glad the smear sites made a big deal out of it. Now we can all know who was with the anti-military internet crowd. We'll post the names of all who support the smear merchants on billoreilly.com. So check with us."

It's unclear where O'Reilly would find such a list. But since he has labeled everyone who supports websites like MediaMatters.org and ThinkProgress.org as "anti-military" it seems to be an effort to intimidate and shame our readers.

I think he was talking about the letter writing campaign to his bosses at Fox, and his advertisers.

It may be that our FCC thing has not registered on his radar yet. To be honest, too, i don't think the FCC will take action, since there was no sexual content involved. Sick values, that such gross encouragement of violence is ok by the FCC, yet even a flash of a human body is deemed a national security threat, but thats the way it is.

Still, keep those FCC complaints going. I want to see how they will respond. It is to make a point about what our values are, that human decency, compassion are very important.

The revelations didn't help the sales of his children's book on values that came out at the same time.

With this little bullying escapade, I wonder how he would feel if a website decided to post his addresses, hotel numbers, etc., those of his producers, and the network owners? Would they find that acceptable? Or would they think it was a direct threat and legally attempt to have the website removed and the owner jailed? Obviously, it is over the line. If there is anything other than complicity at the FCC, they will act on the complaint.
