"We Don't Torture" Time obtains 100s of Pages of Docs

WASHINGTON (AFX) - CIA interrogators apparently tried to cover up the death of an Iraqi 'ghost detainee' who died while being interrogated at Abu Ghraib prison, Time magazine reported today, after obtaining hundreds of pages of documents, including an autopsy report, about the case.

The death of secret detainee Manadel al-Jamadi was ruled a homicide in a Defense Department autopsy, Time reported, adding that documents it recently obtained included photographs of his battered body, which had been kept on ice to keep it from decomposing, apparently to conceal the circumstances of his death.

14. All documents have to be released on Nov. 15

A federal judge ordered the release of all Abu Ghraib photos back in September. The Dept. of Defense stalled, and got an extension until Nov. 15. It doesn't look like any appeal has been filed, so this information should be made public tomorrow. I'm trying to keep track of this because it seems like this whole story has been forgotten & I'm a little worried that the Defense Dept. will find a way to keep this secret by stretching out the deadlines.

If the deadline is tomorrow, then they will file
another bullshit appeal tomorrow...
or request another extension...
Or simply refuse to obey the order (they ignore so many laws, what's one more?)

The only way we will ever see those
is if/when someone has the courage to stand up for truth
