F&*K ME, whip me beat me call me Edna
Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 01:29 AM by MichaelHarris
Why did the History Channel just say The downing of the Twin Towers was the first major terrorist attack in America? DO they have a map? Someone please show them where Oklahoma City is, don't they know the largest terrorist group in America is white, born again, having military maneuvers every weekend, listening to preachers every sunday spew hate, and living in a neighborhood right next to you?

I know what I'm talking about, I had a best friend take his family into a "compound" environment, I went to meetings with him just to laugh at the people. These people will kill, they will blow up stuff, and they are stockpiling weapons all in the name of God.

Most people think they've fallen off the radar since Y2K and Jesus didn't come get them for the big Luau in the sky, but they are dead wrong. Spend some time in the more remote National Forests and you will see these guys practicing to either convert you or kill you in the name of the fetus.

I kind of wish Jesus would have taken them, that way I'd be sitting here eating all their Twinkee's and canned peaches these dumb-asses stock-piled. Weird that they stock-piled all that stuff, Twinkie's, canned peaches, Spam, and bullets. I understand the food-stuffs but why the bullets? Did they think they would have to fight Jesus for the Twinkie's? It does have that heavenly creamy filling and Jesus probably never had one so I can see the confrontation.

They wouldn't have the bullets to protect the Twinkie's, after all the Bible would want them to share the Twinkie with the less fortunate. I guess they really did need to protect the Twinkie from Jesus, it's all I can come up with.

These people are pissed that they didn't get raptured and they are silently growing in every corner of every state, this is the real enemy of America, the one you look past because they look like us.

I've never seen that show, I've been messing around in the darkroom and I've missed alot. Sometimes it's good I miss alot because I get very mad at these "born agains" who want to change America. I'm glad they want better for their family as far as values but killing in the name of God takes us back to the crusades, and the inquisition.

2. It's not terrorism when white people do it.
Like, you think they're ever gonna finish that Anthrax investigation?

Get with the program.

3. Michael...
...I was watching something the other day on one of the doco channels available on digital here in Australia. Anyway, they said the same damn thing. I ended up shooting them off an email reminding them of Oaklahoma city, as well as the first WTC attack. Needless to say I Haven't heard a thing back from them.

7. We are in a world
Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 01:42 AM by MichaelHarris
that is preparing itself for a war between Christians and everyone else, I know most won't believe that but the world finds it much easier to demonize non-white, non-christians nations during time of war. If you want to see it in black and white grab a pen and paper, make 7 columns. Label each column with the following:

England
Germany
Mexico/Spain
Japan
Korea
Vietnam
Iraq

Now under each column write the slang/derogatory names used to describe these peoples. Why does England and Germany have fewer slurs, does it have anything to do with them being white Christian nations? Mexico and Spain certainly have a large population of Christians but we just can't get over that brown skin.

So much for the freedom of religion we were raised to believe in.

5. OKC is in a fly over state. Therefore it cannot be major.
Seriously, you're right. The KKK has been terrorizing for decades and at least a century.

6. WTF? Abortion clinic bombings are terrorist attacks.
As well as the bombing at the Olympics in Atlanta.

And the Twin Towers were bombed in 1993 too in the underground parking garage, and it was pretty major so I don't know what they're talking about.

10. I'm not a huge conspiracy theorist
but I feel it's a media and government thing to focus our attention on terrorism abroad so we can procure oil. The nightly news could be filled with American militia groups, the Klan, and the right to lifers planning and training.

The media could investigate how the guy who blew up those clinics and the Atlanta Olympics was able to have support and money for all those years on the run and find out how the money he used to finance his attacks came from a church in Ireland then routed to him through various organizations.

They could ask why this guy was able to read his "manifesto" in open court while we have the same kind of terrorists locked in secret prisons without even council. The white terrorist gets to preach from the court while the non-white terrorist cowers in a corner in fear of torture, his voice will never be heard, he will never be represented.

8. Huh?! What?!?!
You mean...they didn't start rounding up blond-haired Aryan looking White men IMMEDIATELY after the Murrah building was bombed? You're kidding!!! They actually just attributed the horrific act to the few people involved and didn't use it to paint an entire group of people as terrorist threats? They didn't proceed to wage war against a country of White people who had nothing whatever to do with the attack in Oklahoma, but who happened to look enough like the perpetrators to convince a lot of rubes that they were one and the same?!?! NO WAY!!! :sarcasm:

This isn't the first time this kind of "slanted" history has been presented there. I won't even watch it any more. Good post man.. :toast:

I'll trun this crap off and go in the darkroom, old skool style photography rocks. A darkroom is as good as a bathroom, when you're in either one the wife stays away.

13. None of the "educational" channels are independent anymore
Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 02:31 AM by SoCalDem
Discovery, TLC, Nat'l Geographic, History, A & E..all were gobbled up by conglomerates.. It happened a while ago, but the programming gets worse and worse.. Those were the channels that drove me to GET cable all those years ago. TLC was wonderful...now it;s just years old UK handyman shows...History channel sucks too .. A&E is 99% E, specializing in ancient series' and reruns of schlocky stuff..

It's downright sad..

It's on the Link channel and how the protestors are treated during the bush admin.

Is it a free speech zone, or is it a free speech cage?

17. lol -- our own version of ditto heads? i feel the same.
but i've been feeling it growing since reagan.

when he was elected and characters like newt began to show up on the stage -- america began to give it'simplicit permission to a whole crew of folks to act out.

my impression has always been that timothy mcveigh was ''acting under orders''.
he was responding to the incredible amount of hate and phony anger being spewed from the radio and the house of reps re: liberals and the election of clinton.

and growing up in the midwest -- as far i'm concerned -- these dangerous people have always been there.
and buddy, they are full of hate.

22. why don't you show them where oklahoma city is?
if i had seen the program myself, i'd damn well write a polite but insistently worded letter reminding them of this terrible tragedy and the date it happened

request that if the show is ever re-run, it be properly edited so as not to slight the hundreds dead in oklahoma, that is just rude & an insult to the lost and their families

23. The militia types have started to not sound as crazy as they used to.
Now, before you climb up my skirt, let me get the rest of this out here--ok?

I am NOT defending the assholes that bomb clinics or anybody else. A terrorist is a chicken-shit asshole that makes war on indiscriminate targets, and in my mind that is ANYBODY that attacks civilian targets--anywhere. Call it the KKK, Al Quaida or the redneck warriors from hell--in any case if they are hurting people they are nuts.

What I'm talking about with the militia types, however, is the guys who are seriously afraid of the Federal Government. Frankly, I don't think you can read the Patriot Acts and NOT be scared bloodless by the attacks they make on civil liberties. In that respect, those militia types are maybe not quite as paranoid as I once thought they were.

I'm scared of my government and I am not a wingnut or a wackaloon. I'm also not a huge conspiracy theorist.

Now, let's get real frank here about something, and that is the realization that a few guys in cammies running around on weekends blasting away at Bambi are not in any shape or level of training to defend against organized martial law. If it ever did come to that point (and I doubt it will) those guys are every bit as much a target as the flaming liberal sitting in the suburbs with nothing but a bag of lentils to use for self defense.

I am not advocating for militia types, and no, I am not saying they are right in ANYTHING they do. What I am saying is I understand why they are worried.

Carry on.
