Bill Miller, father of New York Times reporter Judith Miller and a catalyst behind Elvis' comeback, brought some colorful baggage to Las Vegas.

His background might explain why his daughter didn't want to be perceived as a snitch. She recently spent 85 days in jail for refusing to testify before a federal grand jury.

According to Radar magazine's online site, Bill Miller had a number of close Cosa Nostra associates.
