That cluster in the Foothills is kinda weird. Nevada county is somewhat liberal--maybe only the boonies have reported yet...

"The OC" is no surprise OTOH.

Retired judges? Nothing like implementing an oligarchy to safeguard "democracy", eh?

Most Californians will admit that the gerrymandering in this state is terrible, but sometimes the cure can be worse than the disease. Elected judges, or even a new nonpartisan elected seat or board, would have been preferable to the proposed solution.

5. You're right there. . . I think most of us favor redistricting. . .
we just distrust Schwarzenegger and see the "plan" he proposed as inferior -- kind of like the Governator.

7. No...leave Texas where it is.
It will be easier for Democrats to win seats there in the future. Texas will turn blue sooner than you think. Then the Republicans will be seriously fucked.
