What kind of qualifications are enough for YOU for a Senator?

I read a post last night here talking about Dr. Ben (the one who told Cheney to fuck off) was going to challenge Trent Lott's seat in Congress.
Personally, if the only qualification you have is the ability to cuss at someone, it isn't enough for me.:shrug:
What's enough for you? I want someone qualified to be a Senator to challenge that seat, not someone whose only claim is to insult.
So who would be surprised when he did the same to someone on OUR side of the aisle?
There is a world of difference between a Paul Hackett and a Dr. Ben IMHO.
