I think the dems should show footage of the republicans forcing
these monstrous policies on the American people followed by the people their policies harmed. I think there needs to be graphic pictures and a clear connection drawn to the republican senators and representatives showing cause and effect.

1. There should be footage of the force to pass the drug bill!
I stayed up to watch that fiasco, but many couldn't or didn't.

An ad using that footage, including a time cloce (4:30 AM) could be very informative. Especially since more people think the damn thing is total BS!

4. It is BS.
As I understand it, some drugs are better under some plans than others. So it would seem you have to take inventory of the meds that you're taking now and compare them to the plans and I guess you hope you don't find out at some point in the future that you need meds that aren't covered by the policy you picked.

5. You're right to a point, but there's more.
The different plans are free to make whatever deals they can, which is good, but if they can't work a deal on the meds you need thy can drop them from their formulary. The obvious problem is that when you signed up for the plan it fit your needs, and 3 months later it doesn't, but YOU can't make any changes for a year!

I actually think some of the Congress believed they were doing a good thing for the American people, but they inserted the very dumb statement of forbidding the Secretary of HEW from negotiating better bulk pricing, even though the Feds would be the biggest purchaser of each drug, and they put NOT time frame on the providers to stick with specific offers to their clients.

Some congressmen saw through these problems, but were litterally arm twisted into compliance. I SAW it happen...at 4:30 in the morning!

2. I wrote that to the DNC in 2003 and 2004. No reply. And, imo,
it was their job to shoulder that point as the DIFFERENCE in the parties and their policies.
