mainly he said several self-contradictory things: that Wilson's report CONFIRMED that Saddam was hunting for yellow cake (which it didnt) and then proceeded to trash both wilson and his wife, and claimed wilson lied in his report (which contradicted what he just said, bizarrely), and yes, I think peppered in among all that looneytunes stand at the microphone he did say something to the effect that the WMDs are there in Iraq (or perhaps that Saddam was making WMDs, that sort of thing).

but honestly, I wish I had a tivo of that moment because it was priceless off the cuff insanity.

edited to answer your other question: it was outside the senate chambers on Cspan, while the closed session was getting arranged, after Frist's meltdown and before the session was over. It was like Bond had nothing else to do. He wandered around the live camera shot and almost seemed to be waiting until there were no other senators around.

At one point, I think even he realized he wasnt making sense and started pulling papers out of his pocket to make some indecipherable point about a series of dates and something he himself did...I was laughing to hard to catch all of it.

although I recall it more like saying that Saddam did indeed seek out yellowcake and was indeed working on nuclear weapons....then he slid into him actually having nuclear or WMDs, but then he blinked and started trashing Wilson and his wife again. I hope someone has tivoed it, because I have no other way to prove it...and it wasn't a regular speaking thingy so I doubt even Cspan transcribed it. Look for my summary further up the thread...it was very bizarre. He did indeed appear about three sheets to the wind.
