In my opinion, they really need to learn the art of character assassination, which the R's have perfected to a fine art. No need any more to use bullets, it's enough now just to destroy someone's career, and that can all be done with words.

1. Unity
To paraphrase Ben Franklin:

Either we hang together... or we hang separately.

2. I think they just about ripped out a page today

Control the issue du jour.

They tried to take the heat off with the Scalito bullshit, and Reid's maneuver came just in time. In fact, the Re:puke:s' phony "outrage" is just helping the Dems get even more coverage! Beautiful.

Let the Dems' success today be a lesson to them that if they need to court a little controversy to put the attention where it belongs, DO IT! Unfortunately, the days of responsible investigative journalism on TV are OVER. Give them some drama or get drowned out by the noise. It's that simple.

4. How to present a consistent, well-framed, and unified message.
We get killed because we look incoherent.

The second part is to learn how to fight relentlessly for our position. We cave too easily. We lose male votes because we are viewed a people who won't fight for what we believe in. We are considered as soft and as appeasers without spines. Too many males don't trust Democrats to keep the country safe because of this perception.

5. D's need to understand the power of words
and phrases, such as

"death tax"
"partial birth abortion"
"judicial activism"
"wise use"
"pro-life"
and so on and so on.....

We should be able to beat them at this game, but we have to wake up and play!

6. They only have one play.... Attack the messenger avoid the message.
If they have "other" plays I would be interested...but everything I have seen is all about avoiding the message by attacking the messenger.

7. believe in something, stick by it and shout it from the roof tops
The first modern radical conservative Republican Presidential candidate was Barry Goldwater. When he lost by an overwhelming landslide in 1964, the radical conservatives didn't give up. It was the birth of their movement. Just contrast that to how Democrats have behaved. It that regard, they put us to shame.
