They do this at least weekly, sometimes more often, on different topics.

Special order speeches (up to 1 hour) by both sides take place every evening after regular House business.

6. I think this is Iraq Watch

Once a month a number of progressive congresspeople take the floor and talk about Iraq. I try to give a heads up to folks when this is scheduled because it is so uplifting to hear the truth in the halls of Congress. I believe it is usually the first Tuesday of the month. I didn't get Jay Inslee's announcement (or I overlooked it) this month. His office is usually good about getting the news out there.
