Tweetie just called today's action by Harry Reid a "stunt"
:puke:

And what happened to Anderson Cooper 360? For 2 days now, Wolf Blitzed's Situation Room has been on CNN at AC's usual time.

12. Agreed. It's not like Blitzed is hosting AC 360.
It's the Situation Room. When AC was on vacation last week, AC 360 was still the show on at this time, and he had a substitute host.

27. I have to agree: Fuc Tweety
What a waste of television airtime his crappy show is. The show is all about him. It's about putting his face and his mouth on tv. What a misguided ego he has.

6. Personally, I think it was a "stunt" to some degree.
It got peoples' attention and sent a message to the RWhackos while also demanding answers about lies that led to war.

By the way, is "deadparrot" a reference to Monty Python?

17. It is called getting everybody on message and coordinated.
If all of your troops say the same thing, it is likely to be remembered by the public. Repubs are very disciplined that way.

If everybody says something different, even if they are mutually reinforcing, it is less likely to be remembered.

Main Entry: stunt
Function: noun

2 : a shifting or switching of the positions by defensive players at the line of scrimmage in football to disrupt the opponent's blocking efforts

25. This just PISSES me off...
Terri Schiavo Emergency Session of Congress = National Concern
Closed Meeting of the Senate over Intelligence for Iraq = Democrat political stunt.

They can write a special law for a brain-dead woman and through its existence give the religious right a big wet kiss (aka political motivation) - but ask why no one has looked into the intelligence failures in the run-up to Iraq, well, all of a sudden it is a political stunt to demand accountability. :grr:

26. Me too!
Now Lott is on with Tweety saying it's an insult to him, to the senate, and to the country what Reid did today. So, you slimy sack of shit, YOU and your ilk are the insult to this country. I know you want everyone "not you" to sit down and shut up, but I'm not going to, and thank God the Dems wouldn't do it today!

If the Repukes don't want to hear what I and those representing me have to say, then fine. I'll not pay my federal taxes, not do anything to support the federal government, and I'll leave you alone, you just leave me alone. (Yeah, like THAT would happen!)

I can hardly bare to watch this stuff when the Repukes are talking. They are abusers, plain and simple. They are the spouse that hits you with a closed fist, and then just can't understand why you'd come after them. "What did I do? What's wrong with you? Why are you so mad? You're not being very nice."

29. That's exactly what I was thinking. This "stunt" was to draw much
needed attention to a vital matter that has consequences and repercussions for all of us.

Central issue for a republic: How can the people's representatives represent the people's interests when they are lied to in matters as vital as deciding war or peace?

And how many deaths have resulted from that decision that was based on lies? Odd that the same folks who rushed to wail and storm about the Schiavo situation appear smugly complacent regarding the deaths of at least tens of thousands. And what other consequences will be with us for decades to come?

The people have a right to know what this administration did and why. The administration and their flunkies in Congress have no justifible reason for blocking that inquiry into finding the truth. Except that they don't want the truth to come out; they already know what it will reveal.

30. They certainly don't want the truth to come out, but
I believe a majority of Americans do. Wasn't there a poll yesterday or end of last week that showed that the majority of those polled thought the Administration had lied, or withheld information? I think most Americans don't like being lied to. They may not like the direction the majority party is taking them, be it the Democratic party or the Republican party, but being lied to is something that a lot of people just plain get PISSED about.

And for the Resmuglicans to think that they don't have to answer to the American people makes me so angry I am beyond words to describe it!

34. No, Chris, it's called Parliamentary Procedure, and this power is
available to the minority party for a REASON.

This country is in grave danger because there is no longer any separation of powers.

It is Reid's job to do this, and if idiots like Mathews want to spout the "stunt" talking point, they can do it all they want, but they show their ignorance and disdane for the Constitution of the country.
