Who watched Wilson on Blitzer last night?
He sure laid it out well.....in SPITE of Blitzers assertions, imho.

Blitzer kept going on and on about how Valerie was already known to be CIA - and I enjoyed Wilson smacking him down time and time again stating that there was a law broken and the opening statement of Fitzgerald explained it very clearly. I particularily liked how Wilson prevailed when he stated that it was not his name on the indictment charges - he had to repeat that over and over again.

Blitzer's bug eyed goggle look made me smile when Wilson stated that it is every citizens right and duty to call government to account for wrongdoing....and that he felt that Rove should be fired.

Thank god there are still Americans like Joe Wilson around.

2. What disturbs me
is that the interview took place earlier in the afternoon and then Wolfie replayed it in Prime Time like it was something he was proud of....

That's disturbing because Wolf thinks he "won" that interview by getting all his talking points in no matter how many times Wilson smacked him down.

So what's going on here?

Is it a media truth that if you are a partisan, you only hear what your side has to say and disregard all the rest? Is that why Wolfie re-ran the interview in prime time?

Discussion is welcome.

6. I watched it in the evening
Wilson did an exceptional job. He remained composed far more than I would of been able to manage. I especially took offense when Blitzer asked Wilson if he and Valerie attended cocktail parties together. WTF?

And the repeated questions regarding friends and acquaintances knowledge of lack thereof of Valerie's role in the CIA - he asked that many times.....and finally I thought Wilson put it to bed when he stated that the investigation had indicated a law was broken and it was not his name, but Libby's on the indictments...

In my mind Wilson came out far far better than Blitzer - but then I am biased. It just appeared that Blitzer's talking points were gossip - and Wilson came across as far more relevant or believable.

3. I saw it and Wilson did a superb job against Blitzer.
What is it with these reporters attempting to change the subject against what it's really about?

5. If you didn't see Wilson at the National Press Club on C-Span
yesterday, try to find a copy of that broadcast.

He was simply superb, and explained some background things I didn't already know, even though I have tried to follow the Plame issue as closely as I can.

After you have heard him called "this guy", "this clown", "this idiot", and claims of "who is this guy", it may come as something of a shock to watch for an hour this highly intelligent, superbly prepared person of perfect demeanor.

Mary Matalin, Ann Coulter, Don Imus, Newt Gingrich and the rest of them should be locked in a room and made to watch that Press Club hour until they finally get it.

If you ever doubt that the Republican Party puts politics over the good of this nation every time, just take a look again at Wilson's hour at the National Press Club.

Wilson is everything they aren't and can never hope to be.

7. Wilson was excellent at the National Press Club...
I only caught the last part of it, but Wilson was so composed, and straightforward. I sespecially liked the question and answer segment... it cleared up a lot of myths. I only wish this was broadcast on all the cable news networks... but then, how could the right wing presstitutes get their spin on? Wilson has more class and courage in his little finger than the entire body of the Pundit Collective.
