3. Loser's limp.
Edited on Mon Oct-31-05 05:54 AM by In_Transit
Have you ever seen a football carrier being unsuccessfully pursued? The player that is chasing sees a touchdown is inevitable, draws up with a limp , stops chasing and limps over to the sideline. Loser's limp. :toast:

16. Good Answer!
I was in pain and therefore could not perform up to the level that I should have. Plus, my dog ate my notes.

8. Closest to my thoughts
It was like when dubby had his pretzel incident. We don't know who punched him out or if his drunkeness did it.
I suspect Libby got drunk and kicked the brick wall or something. It was supposed to have happened playing football.
Seeing him hurt is a play for sympathy, but Fitz did not play along.

10. The truth is, Kire: WE DON'T KNOW how Libby hurt his leg/foot.
There have been NO reports that I've seen on DU, or anywhere else, stating how he broke his ..... whatever.

And the replies on this thread just confirm that.

 Nobody knows, as far as I've seen.

It would be interesting to find out, though, wouldn't it?

19. and i read that it was a "football injury"
On a day when former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice and making false statements, he hobbled his way out of the West Wing on crutches, thanks to a broken foot he suffered earlier in the month playing touch football.

to be on the "give me a break" side of the planet. Maybe I'm wrong -- it just seems really ... weird.

Someone said to him, "Justice is afoot."

"Oh shit! Really?" he replied, and began trying to hack off his pedal extremities, fearing that the remark was referring to one of his own.
