Isn't waiting for the next shoe to drop really nerve wracking?
Now imagine how intense it would be if you were part of the Bush crime family right now. Even remotely?

6. But remember
Clinton knew that he'd just "committed" a blow job. And he probably knew that his answer in the Paula Jones case was misleading, not perjury. His worst failure, which I think he has realized, was that he COULD have cost Gore the presidency by his recklessness. My most liberal friends still get worked up over that, which I got over a LONG time ago.

his mouth shut. I agree, he blew it!

14. well, I dunno
with what he had against him, he probably had no choice (in terms of testifying).

However, he did give us an insight into his thinking on his dalliance with Monica in his book "My Life." He said he did it because he "could". It seems to be right. But it is a little bare of substance.

Let's just say: "He didn't out a CIA undercover operative. He didn't get us into an unnecesary war, and 2,000 American men and women would be alive today who are not because of Bush's lies and not because of Clinton's."

They think they are SO smart they'll never get caught. Well, now they've met a laser beam called Patrick Fitzgerald. When they are in deep doo doo they'll wonder "wha happened?"

8. Right, and they know it's time to shut up but they have to keep talking
to Fitz. Rove is being played so badly it's amusing. Fitz is just giving him all the rope he wants...to hang himself. The more you talk, the more clues you give; the more clues, the more leads; the more leads, well, we know what happens then. I bet he wants Rove on a bigger package of indictments than Scooter. Damn, this is what they deserve.

9. Autorank, I have questions
How does Fitz' recent strategies play out re: your posting several months ago about "the Pincer move"? I still think that posting is brilliant.

I'm enjoying watching the prosecutie (sigh ,) closing in on them as well. Rove's an idiot. The smartest thing he could have done was to make a very conciliatory public statement, then shut the hell up -- ohhh, nooooo. He had to brag about his "relaxing" weekend. Yeah, right. He'll have lots of time to relax when he's in prison.

Hope he likes the color orange. He'll be wearing a lot of it.

11. I'm so flattered somebody remembered!
Well, my crystal ball is tracking to date. We've had Tommy Boy get indicted, he's no longer invincible, and in Texas no less. Then we've got "at least one very close...Cheney WH aid." They picked the Cheney power matrix, Scooter. The CM (Corporate Media) in "in process" -- saw Paula Zahn talking about "the battered WH", "will they ever recover," and so forth.

Next, AMF Cheney and an "easy to dance to" VP pick. This should have been Powell but he's tagged hard as a big fat liar. Dunno know who they'll go to? Somebody up in years who truly promises not to run.

What I didn't anticipate was the total unraveling of the Taft-Petro-Blackwell crime family in Ohio (of the 2004 stolen election). The "Coingate" investigation out there involving Tom Noe is the wild card. All fraud in Ohio leads back to the stolen election. Something may come up here that nobody can control...indicating that Bush shouldn't be there in the first place and that he probably lost the whole damn thing (watch New Mexico suits). Now that would be random and invoke "The Fury of the People."

I would like to thank Tom Delay and Scooter Libby for being such crooks and helping my little prediction along.

PS. I think Fitzgerald is straight up, not involved. I think those who put him in this position were encouraged to do so by "management" for the desired result. The guy truly is a "Bull Dog."

What do you think will happen next?

End Game: *BUSH is FINISHED. The Script from "Management"

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=3482593">END GAME

"THE PINCER MOVE"
"Management" is upset at the free fall facing the American economy and the dollar. Bush must go. The two opening moves will be:
a) Indictment of Tommy Boy DeLay by Austin, TX DA Ronald Earle. Earle has been researching this case and has had enough to charge Tommy boy for a while. The churn on the delay scandal de jour is laying the ground work. This is "management's" opening salvo...a takedown of the toughest, nastiest republican conservative on the block.Completed Delay represents the rabid bigoted right, the nasty element among an otherwise fine small business community ($4.0 million a year or less in revenues) who think they're smart because they got rich while everybody else got rich. DeLay also represents, more visibly, the fundy right.
Down goes delay. He won't know what's hit him but he will fight hard alienating the American public.
b) Indictment of at least one very close, senior (current or former) Cheney WH aid. It will be a neocon and the charge will be at least perjury.Completed This lays the crime at the door of the WH, Cheney in particular, and it lets "management" get rid of cheney, who went to the neocon dark side. Watch CM (corporate media) just go crazy on this one.In process People will talk about a renaissance of investigative reporting. In reality, the press will just feed the management created story, in this case, based on facts to the public in a form and at a pace designed for maximum impact. Calls will be made for Cheney’s resignation,Pending particularly in view of the back peddling Halliburton is doing on over charges in Iraq. We’ll find some connection between Halliburton and loss of American life and Cheney will go.
“STEALING POWER…AGAIN”Pending
c) "Management" will put forth a VP nominee who is a consensus pick, e.g., Powell. * will be forced to take him but think he's saved by the move.
d) Now Bush is all alone. Andy card will be the new Alexander Haig. He’s well connected to "management" and northeast and national mega money. He’ll deliver the message to bush that it's time to go. Bush will go under the guise of an illness, which will encourage wild speculation including but not limited to a mental break.
d) Once this is in motion, Bush having been resigned, "management" will have their candidate move into the presidency.
“THE FURY OF THE PEOPLE”Hopefully
...however...there are some real snags. The latent fury in this country over betrayal by Bush will outpace "management's" little passion play. The real press and real people will break the election fraud story in a way that can't be ignored. When Mr. Consensus President is in the wings, the entire credibility of BushCo and "management's" consensus VP to president deal will come undone.
At that point, it's anybody's guess...

18. Autorank, I'm so sorry it took me this long to respond
>What do you think will happen next?<

Now THERE'S a question. I think I'll need to bookmark this thread; hopefully, you'll post some more of your very accurate predictions!

I agree with you re: election fraud story breaking in such a way that it can't be ignored. I also believe that Patrick Fitzgerald told Congress the other day that he's not "doing their work for them" on the Niger forgeries -- in other words (and feel free to disagree,) he just called them out. I think it's going to be a very, very bumpy ride for anyone currently serving in the White House.

>the entire credibility of BushCo and "management's" consensus VP to president deal will come undone. At that point, it's anybody's guess...<

The problems are forming a perfect storm, IMHO. Skyrocketing gas and heating prices are leaving people with very little disposable income during a time of the year when it's socially encouraged to break the bank. Massive layoffs are all over LBN today, including one at Dell. In other words, those who might have a little money will be hanging onto it, and therefore, small businesses will be failing, as they depend on the holiday revenue. The economy has to have taken a massive hit due to the devastation at the Gulf Coast and in Florida -- we heard last night on the news that vegetable and fruit crops are "seriously affected", re: higher prices for consumers. Things have fallen apart with breathtaking speed at the White House and for the RNC (could it happen to a nicer bunch of people?) There is nothing (besides the unthinkable,) that would make the American people ignore their own plight and rally behind Crusader Bunnypants again. The fear meme has lost its power to control, and the media has finally awoken and is actively exposing * and his toadies. What will they do next?

Again, I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on all of this.

Julie

15. Fitzgerald has saved so many lives and prevented a lot of the neo-con
agenda from going forth.

They can kiss the invasion of Syria and Iran goodbye.

More focus than ever has been placed on Iraq.

The comparisons of this administration to Watergate are mainstream now.

Rove cannot deploy his usual dirty tricks at the moment because... well, he's a NY minute from being indicted himself.

Bush's next SC nominee, whomever it is, will place him in a lose-lose situation.

The right-wing agenda including more tax cuts for the wealthy is in the toilet.

Bush, Cheney, and Rove will be under a microscope for the rest of this term. This administration works from the top down (sorta like a dictatorship). With the top rendered lameducks, Republican leadership in the House and Senate under investigation (Frist and DeLay), they can't get ANYTHING DONE.

It will only be a matter of time before they start turning on each other and ratting each other out.

All we have to do is be patient and allow them the space to hang themselves

17. Amen. We need a comprehensive plan to counter every point of corruption
this WH has perpetuated.

I'm amazed at the posts of doom and gloom here. We've been handed a fastball across the very middle of the plate. We haven't been in this position since, well, '91 with Poppa Bush.

We need to hit this one out of the park. If we are successful, the Republican party and the neocons will be out of power for a very long time.
