"Clinton betrayed his wife -- Bush administration betrayed the country"
"Clinton betrayed his wife, and the Bush administration betrayed the whole country."

H20 Man says this should be our answer whenever the Republicans try to compare Plamegate to Monica. I think this is a GREAT soundbite comeback so I put it in its own thread. A short and sweet way to shut up a freeper.

3. "We fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here"...
How come we're still fighting them over here?

How come the terror alerts...if we're fighting it over there?

Oh yeah...Welcome to DU. :toast:

16. Bush wasn't the only one who did nothing
Neither did Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rice, Myers, Tenet...

Look at their stories about how they reacted to the news that the WTC had been attacked. Not a single one reacted appropriately.

17. You are so right.
Not a single one of them did what their job description requires them to do in a national crisis.

19. Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz were in the Pentagon
running a meeting that morning, when they heard that a SECOND plane had hit the WTC, they decided to continue their meeting anyway. Wolfie said, 'there wasn't anything they could do about it anyway'.

7. What did Clinton share with China?
Please share. Or did rush say that so many times that it naturally comes out of your trap?

I think the OP was saying the idiot betrayed America, not a bunch of people who think he is "the bestest prezident ever".

9. Bush betrayed America by sending our loved ones off to war
for no reason. Saddam was not a threat to us, yet Team Bush kept claiming he was. Hussein had no affiliation with our true enemies, al Qaeda, yet Bush decided to attack him anyways, and he's spend the last 3 years claiming that the war in Iraq is somehow affiliated with the "War on Terror".

12. Try reading "Against All Enemies" by Richard Clarke.
According to the former National Security Council member during the Clinton years, plenty was done to combat terrorism, and their remained much work for the subsequent administration. But Bush was so hell-bent on invading Iraq that he and his inner circle of loyalists completely ignored the work of the Clinton administration and went off on their own priorities. When 9/11 happened, due almost intirely to Bush & Co. being asleep at the wheel, the conveniently used it as means to convince flag-wavin' greiving Americans to approve of their unnecessary war in Iraq.

Clinton did plenty, Bush has done less than nothing--we would have been better off if he HAD done nothing.

14. You mean that investigation
that the Republican congress started & then stopped when they realized the trail of selling military secrets to China started way before Clinton - it started under Reagan. In Reagan's obsession with bringing down the already about to collapse Soviet Union, he sold nuclear secrets to China... their first nuke test, I believe, was in 1987. Way before Clinton and 7 years into Reagan.

18. HAHAH...that was ROBERT HANSSEN's lie about China. YOU believed that spy?
He planted that lie with Novak and with his buddy, Louis Freeh.

Did you know that Bush was handed the Hart-Rudman Report on Global Terror on Jan 30, 2001 and he REFUSED TO READ IT? Bush betrayed this country by refusing to do his job and READ THE REPORT that was worked on for 2 1/2 years.
