KKKarl Rover is SO NOT OFF THE HOOK...I can't wait to see
what next week and the weeks to follow will hold. I think Rover is still in "serious legal jeopardy" IMHO. I think his flippant remarks about his weekend are spoken with a subtext, an underlying subtext that, to me, says "I got a break for the weekend but oh shit what's next."

KKKarl is far from free in this entanglement.

1. I'm sure he saw Fitz's press conference and knows he's S.O.L.
Shoulda taken that plea deal, sucker!

I'm sure his Dear Leader isn't a very happy camper, either. Happy anniversary, you Lying Sack of Crap!

indictments will follow.

27. What makes you think he didn't make a deal?
Remember, the trial phase hasn't even started yet. The prosecutor is under no obligation to reveal who his star witnesses will be.

I think Hadley and Rover are going to be making a lot more trips back to the Prettyman Federal Court Building in the coming months.

Rover barked, and will be testifying at the trials of others.

33. Hmm, good point. But wouldn't he have to plead guilty to something?
Will we ever find out if he did cop to perjury, for example?

4. Well Fitz did NOT rule out indictments on the "unauthorized disclosure of
classified information" (his words). That could easily turn into charges on the disclosure and a conspiracy to disclose the information. It is logical that if he were pursuing that angle on Rove he would withold indicting Libby on those charges at this time. My prediction is that Rove and Libby will each get indicted for unauthorized disclosure of classified information and for conspiracy. There may be others indicted for the conspiracy and Cheney may be cited as an unindicted co-conspirator. How's that for a prediction?

"pulling the string." Amazing what you find at the end of that string, sometimes!!!

31. Fitz did discuss the possible relevance of the *Espionage Act*,
as it were in passing, emphasising that a prosecutor should be very careful in its application, should make sure, as it were, of all the facts and circumstances and motivations, and even then apply using maximum judgement and with great caution - so as not to encourage the imposition of the kind of blanket prohibition on revealing information obtained in the course of the exercise of one's duties such as in the case of that dastardly English (sic) Official Secrets Act.

Hmmm. I wonder if in the course of his investigations he attempted to seek the cooperation of 'officials' in the British Government and was stonewalled...

The MM is spinnin and conditioning the masses to move on to the next sex scandal or new reality TV show..

I think the MM is in on the crimes.

http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Fitzgerald_expands_probe_believes_he_can_1028.html

"Fitzgerald expands probe, believes he can get Rove on more serious charges, lawyers say

In one of the boldest moves yet in the 22-month investigation into the outing of a covert CIA agent to a handful of top reporters covering the White House, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald is extending his probe and pursuing much more serious charges against senior White House officials, specifically President Bush’s Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, lawyers directly involved in the case told RAW STORY Friday.

While many people were left confused by news reports that said Rove wouldn't be indicted Friday, the lawyers said that Rove remains under intense scrutiny and added that Fitzgerald is betting on the fact that he can secure an indictment against Rove on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, the misuse of classified information, and possibly other charges, as early as next week.

“This investigation is not yet over,” one of the lawyers in the case said. “You must keep in mind that people like Mr. Rove are still under investigation. Rather than securing an indictment on perjury charges against Mr. Rove Mr. Fitzgerald strongly believes he can convince the grand jury that he broke other laws.”"

10. And what of the thousands of deaths you enabled Karl.
If you are convicted and serve 25 years, you got a better deal than most caught up in Iraq. Well nobody says justice is an eye for an eye - we'll' wait - we can be amazingly patient when we have to be.

as to the way they really feel.

I'll bet their guts are in an uproar and their gonads have retreated completely.

13. My take.
I believe that Rove has a written indictment that was ready to go and his llevos were in a sling right along with Libby. His attorney met with Fitzgerald all week and I believe that they threw Fitz a few crumbs to buy Rove more time.

Fitz will get "OFFICIAL A"!!! Take that to the bank.

Peace.

I listened to the conference, I don't see how. Wishful thinking at best, it seems like Fitz is ready to go home. Just a thought.

21. "OFFICIAL A" is a clue
It is indictment speak for somebody who ain't out of the woods yet.

Fitz may be ready to go home, but he won't until he is done.

My speculation is they are negotiating a deal w Rove to turn on somebody, or they have some other info on Rove they are nailing down.

I hope we find out soon the full meaning of it. Could there be a sealed indictment with Karl's name on it? (I know, I'm reading tea leaves!)

25. There's no chance Rover is off the hook yet.
Fitz came out and said "here is what I have now, but I intend to keep looking." He nailed Libby to the wall with rusty spikes - FIVE counts with SERIOUS jail time attached to them. Libby will sing like a canary (or a buzzard) to keep his ass out of jail. Fat KKKarl and UnKKKa Dick had better keep their lawyers on speed dial for a while yet.

This is only the first shot in Fitz' War.

30. He also said the bulk of his investigation is over..
I think he already has most of what he needs to nail Rove to the wall and he is impanelling another GJ to either go after some bigger fish or put the finishing touches on his investigation to make sure Rove cant wiggle free. Unfortunately he made it pretty clear that we the public will not learn what he knows unless he brings another indictment. I'm betting another indictment is coming, but it might be awhile.
