Did Cheney break the law by telling Scooter about Plame
If Scooter has security clearance? I don't know if he does have said clearance but if two people have security clearance have a conversation with one another, then they aren't breaking the law are they?

1. That's the way I understand it
The person who breaks the law is the one who tells someone without clearance.

2. NO! Scooter has top clearance. The crime would be if Cheney
told Scooter to go after her in the Press. I question if we would ever hear that!

4. Unless Scooter flips.
30 years is a long time to sit in a cell.

3. Correct. Security matters may be discussed amongst those with
proper clearance. If that weren't true, nothing could ever be said.

6. true.......
it is not a crime to tell someone else who has a security clearance.

KKKarl's defense is that Scooter never told him she was covert. But I believe it is customary to tell someone if the information is classified or high security........meaning that you don't pass that info to someone without a security clearance!! That is against the law.

8. What amazes me is no one is asking this question
If Cheney and Shrub didn't know about this, why? Either way, neither of them not knowing what a "top aide" is doing doesn't seem kosher and of course, if they did know, then that's not kosher either.

9. It depends on why and how and for what reason he told them!!!
Motive or was he the leader in the conspiracy!!!

10. I think Fitz said that Scooter was having the conversation about Plame &
Wilson with numerous people in numerous departments. And as long as the name is not made public, but between people with "clearance" it is not a crime.

That's what i got.

Now if Cheney was part of a plan to out her name... and someone testified to that..that might be something.

But just discussing the names & origins of the Wilson leaks amongst themselves is not a crime.
