I Want The Entire BushCo In Prison For Life - But This Stuff Is Disturbing
I was telling my wife a few weeks ago how it's great that we're making progress nailing BushCo, but how very disturbing all this stuff is.

Man, this sure ain't the America they taught me about in high school Civics class. In fact, it's something right out of Orwell's "1984," Huxley's "Brave New World," Yevgeny Zamyatin and Mirra Ginsburg's "We," or Atwood's "A Handmaid's Tale."

It's interesting that I learned about this in Literature class, not Civics.

1. America
has been slowly stolen from us for decades. There will always be something wrong, but I want to be proud again.

8. Me Too -- I Don't Want My Children To Share My Shame
Before BushCo, I would dream of hiking all over the world. Now, I'm afraid to go most places outside of the states, for fear of running into major hatred.

2. Or all of the above.
I'm also glad that something finally seems to be happening to make a dent in this cabal, but it also saddens me and angers me beyond words that this country has come to this! I just keep coming back to the same thing: I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!! No, she's not perfect, and never has been, but she's certainly been better than she is right now. I'm trying to save her, along with many other people, and hopefully things ARE starting to turn around for the better.

4. Here is a response I made in a newsgroup today re: indictments
> How accurate is the Times?
>

They got that crack reporter Miller...

But seriously if this doesn't take down the whitehouse, the America we
thought we knew is gone. It was thrown away with apathy and greed. This is
no longer a democracy, it's fascism.

Look at the bills they are rushing through, look at the bills they are
stopping... Pro torture, corporations held harmless and not being taxed,
governmental agencies either very incompetent or work deliberately slowing
relief efforts, wars based on lies, people supporting wars based on
documented lies, elected officials being indicted left and right for
criminal acts, and finally a voting system that had a back door for one
party and a report that shows documented anomolies that cannot be called
anything less then fraud. It is no longer "we the people." We are under rule
and our rights ... they are being irradicated left and right.

Right now there is a bill against "frivolous lawsuits." Who defines
"frivolous?" Isn't that another one or our rights? Or am I just being old
fashioned?

6. I have a case of insomnia and I flicked on the t.v. and read your

post at about the same time. The clip I just saw appropriately responds to your post. It shows a wilder beast felled by a pride of lions. They were gnawing on that animal like the only bit of life left was in its tail. Suddenly, the herd of wilder beast approaches timidly. First one, then the other. They moved in as a group and knocked the lions off the downed wilder beast. Sure enough, the wilder beast that was on the ground slowly got up. It was bloodied and hobbling, but it escaped death that day.

Soooo...I suggest we move in as a tight organized group and we go after those lions so they don't bother us again.

15. It Surely Was Less Than A Majority -- But Many Millions Voted BushCo
It reinforces the notion that I live in a different dimension that happens to include the same time-space coordinates as BushCo voters.

Gee, sounds kind of Buddhist.

16. Think how it use to be five years ago.
Only five short years ago, my stocks were making lots of money, I had a management position and my preacher was more concerned about God than politics. Today, my stocks are losing money, I work at Wal-Mart, and my preacher says I am going to hell for voting Democrat. God, I miss the good old days.

Remember when you didn't have worry about your child being recruited by some religious cult while in high school?

Remember when you didn't need to worry about the pharmacist filling your prescription or not?

Remember when medical insurance and a pension of some kind was a standard package for employment?

Remember when you could trust the government to provide disaster rescue and relief?

Remember when you could trust the government to provide accurate information on employment, jobs, the weather, number of deaths and other national statistics?

How I miss the good old days.

17. But remember we always have this;
People like us did NOT vote for the crooked idiot either time. As a result I feel no shame, only anger, contempt and disgust for * and his myriad of cronies.
