2. Then please give us back the pagan mermaid logo
I love this qoute from the very end of the article:

"Sometimes it's so vulgar that it's not particularly good for religion," Mr. Novak said. "But if religion is in everything, it has to be in the vulgar stuff, too."

3. So what was their official stance on the Concerned Christian Cows
at Baylor pulling the cups that had a quote from Armistead Maupin?
Did corporate headquarters speak up at all on this?

5. It is part of the Way I see it series..
and there are dozens of other nonreligious quotes being used as well.. you can go to their website and read one. I think one out of over 60 isnt pushing religion down anyone's throat.. but that's just me.

6. This isn't a deal breaker for me
I prefer they wouldn't try to capitilize on the booming business of Christianity, but I don't care enough to switch brands. Now if the company were to go red, that's a different story.

7. this has been hashed to death here
Starbucks is putting quotes on their coffee cups

some people have gotten upset because the company is putting bible quote on them

well, the RW fundies got their panties into a twist because the company also used a Armistead Maupin quote about being gay

someone at Baylor, which I guess has a Starbucks on campus, told the company that they wouldn't allow the Maupin cups to be used in their store
