If Californians are having less children then why...Anti immigrant ads
Anyone seen them yet. A young white kid, probably about 10 asking "If caifornians are having less children then why are they so many people" "If caifornians are having less children then why are the schools so crowded". Its sponsored by the some immigration control group and has definite racial connotations.
These ads began the day after Arnold was elected gov.

3. Why Doesn't the TV Brat
Know the difference between "less" and "fewer"?

Of course the answer is that the population has grown, so even if more people are having fewer children, there are still more children than there were 20 years ago. Duh.

4. Oh great!
That is all I need, a bloody new anti immigrant feel in the USA. I guess it is going to become harder and harder for me to get there. When are the hurdles going to stop so Sapphocrat and I can be together?

5. I couldnt believe it when I saw it.
Its putting the blame for californias woes on illegal immigrants. Kind of like those anti-jewish ads with the rats that nazi germany used in the 30's. Blatant hate and racism.
Without illegal immigrants the economy of CA would go to shit. Who would pick the produce in the central valley. White people? I dont think so.

6. they're emotional appeal questions

They don't make any cognitive sense because they are emotional appeals/code words simply strung together as sentence-like questions.

I'd guess the point is about getting 'angry' Californian racist voter opinion to fixate on school funding- i.o.w., cutting it.

California is ~50% non-white now, but non-whites skew young (children, students) and whites skew old (voters, retirees). California voters are 60+% white, and many or most of these are abyssmally reactionary. The ad is just another ploy to drive elderly white voters to the Right; the game seems to be about getting, via their votes, state tax money away from education spending and into high income tax rate cuts and corporate subsidies. And selling out to corporations and high bidders in general is a cultural pattern in California since the white settlement.

7. Thats exactly what they are doing.
Bringing out racial anger in white racist voters.Immigration is somewhat of a problem down here but the majority of "new californians" are transplants from other states in the nation.

9. Oh fucking hell. Here it comes. This is fascism folks. They know that...
...CA is still slightly Democratic, and they're going to have to work double hard to confuse people into becoming fascists.
