And she had no clue what it was. I'm really surprised she's never heard of it. Stephie is all over it and I think I heard Franken mention it today.

2. In all fairness, have you heard it anywere but DU?
I've tried to send email to most of my Dem friends about it, but I haven't heard it anywhere but here.

4. I guess I just figured Randi would know about things that go
on here at times -- and this is one of the things I assumed she would have heard about. I know Stephie lurks, guess I was mistaken that Randi probably did, too.

It's all over Kos. It's everywhere! :hi: I think even Limbaugh himself mentions it now.

5. Very true
It doesn't make me like her any less. We need to educate her, though. I think if she saw the songs she'd have a good time with them.

11. I heard it first on Majority Report, I think it was Kos
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 05:03 PM by melissinha
but that doesn't mean it didn't come from here first.

I think the Majority Report had it on air first... Sam is always ahead of the curve and is always in touch with bloggers which keep him in the loop.

here's a car with "Merru Fitzmas" the rear window.

12. I heard it on Stephanie Miller, then on Erin Hart (local Seattle)
who was talking to the lady from BartCop about it - and then on Thom Hartmann today. Someone just mentioned it on Ed Schultz.

Erin Hart sang some of the Fitzmas Carols on Saturday.

Were the phrase and song originated here? Stephanie Miller credited DU with the songs.

23. It is isn't it? But I don't know who created it though.
And I know Fitzgerald wouldn't like his pic entered all over on the internets. Lord knows we don't want to upset him.

27. It is kind of silly isn't it?
I tend to agree with a poster over at DailyKos on this issue.

His two main points:

1) Whatever the charges or eventual results of this turn out to be, it's not a happy day in our country if people at the highest level of government are committing crimes. We shouldn't celebrate it.

2) If we, as Democrats/liberals treat this with festival gusto, we make the whole process look like a partisan gotcha instead of a criminal investigation. So far, Fitzgerald has been apparently professional, detail-oriented, and very terse with the press. Completely unlike, say, Ken Starr and his clown show. I like it that way.
