"God bless hurricanes"
You know, every time there's something wrong with the administration, when there's evidence that the Iraqi War is wrong and may expose them or the criminals they are, when the Republicans are in trouble...

There's a hurricane coming by to cover their asses!

Katrina and the other hurricanes came in "perfect timing" don't you think?

1. WTF are you insinuating? No, I don't think the timing was perfect...
nor do many of my friends, Repubicans and Democrats alike, who had to suffer in the wake of Katrina and Rita.

Politicizing hurricanes makes DUers look stupid. Your argument is no more valid than those claiming that hurricanes were God's wrath on the ungodly cities of New Orleans and Biloxi.

3. "perfect timing"? Uh, yeah, it being hurricane season and all...
Let me guess, the BFEE controls the weather, right?

4. I'd say, if anything, Katrina helped expose BushCo's incompetency. . .
and gave them more troubles than it helped "cover". . .

And just how do you believe anyone "calls up" a hurricane on any kind of timing, perfect or fortuitous?. . .

5. It is peculiar...
If it wasn't for the fact that it's hurricane season I'd be thinking the same thing.

6. AOL has a story about the 22nd named storm for the season this morning.
Little Alpha is the record breaker and AOL says it's just a natural cycle. No kidding, they say we saw this same thing in in 1950 and 1960. Funny, I lived through half the 50s and all of the 60s and I don't remember it.

Snip

"Since 1995, the Atlantic has been in a period of higher hurricane activity, a cycle expected to last at least another 10 years. Scientists say the cause of the increase is a rise in ocean temperatures and a decrease in the amount of disruptive vertical wind shear that rips hurricanes apart.

The busy seasons are part of a natural cycle that can last for at least 20 years, and sometimes 40 to 50, forecasters at the hurricane center say. The current conditions, they say, are similar to those in the 1950s and 60s."

Nice to know there is no global warming, there is no global warming, there is no global warming.

Of course Repubs aren't creating hurricanes to relieve them of polital constipation. But you could certainly argue that from the the time of Saint Bloody Reagan through now their policies have contributed to their frequency and/or intensity. Reagan needed more proof of global warming and so does Bush. hmmm.
