Blatant Propaganda About Iraq is Alive and Thriving in US Newspapers...
Here is a gem I just happened upon....

http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051022/COLUMNIST14/510220383/-1/NEWS

<snip>

The opening of the first of several trials of Saddam Hussein for crimes against humanity is an indication of how far Iraq has come since American tanks entered Baghdad two and a half years ago.

<snip>

"The moment Saddam Hussein appeared, a Shiite housewife spat on the screen and then sat gnawing her fingers, seething, as her family crowded around the television.

"Across the Tigris, in the mostly Sunni Arab district of Azamiyah … a former army officer was on the verge of tears of pride as a defiant Saddam argued with the judge."

(And This Blatant LIE!)....

More than 200,000 bodies have been found in mass graves since Iraq's liberation, but the prosecutors are starting small. This trial is about the murder of (at least) 148 men, women, and children in the village of Dujail, in response to an attempt to assassinate Saddam there on June 8, 1982.

1. I'd like to be a newspaper edeetor:
The opening of the first of several trials of George W Bush for crimes against humanity is an indication of how far America has come since tanks entered Washington DC two and a half years ago.

"The moment George W Bush appeared, a housewife spat on the screen and then sat gnawing her fingers, seething, as her family crowded around the television.

"Across the Potomac, in the mostly Republican region of Virginia … a former army officer was on the verge of tears of pride as a defiant Bush argued with the judge."

Nearly 2000 U.S. soldiers have been buried since Iraq's liberation, but the prosecutors are starting small. This trial is about the murder of (at least) 200.000 men, women, and children in Iraq, in response to lies told by George W. Bush.

8. My email to the bushbot at the Blade;
[email protected]

What, you don't like FACTS?

It's been a "good week in Iraq"??? You think? The IRAQIS sure don't think so. The 32 US troops killed this week and their loved ones sure don't think so.

I USED to really respect the Toledo Blade's reporting, as they USED to get their FACTS correct. Not any longer;

"More than 200,000 bodies have been found in mass graves since Iraq's liberation..."

UMMM NOT.

PM admits graves claim 'untrue'

Downing Street has admitted to The Observer that repeated claims by Tony Blair that '400,000 bodies had been found in Iraqi mass graves' is untrue, and only about 5,000 corpses have so far been uncovered.
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/politics/story/0,6903,1263830,00.html

Obviously you're one of the US minority that still support this bullshit invasion, but to LIE or to be so IGNORANT of the FACTS is APPALLING and is exactly how we got into this bloody mess to start with.

FACTS ARE YOUR FRIENDS; USE THEM.
