Probably some truth to that. Anything that takes pressure off of wild populations can't hurt. Rhinos and tigers aren't the only species depleted by these folk beliefs. In Latin America turtle eggs are considered an aphrodisaic and sea turtle nests get hammered. I was in Baja Sur this year and picked up a cool T-shirt. It had a cartoon turtle on it holding a bottle of Viagra with the caption in Spanish saying more or less " you don't need my eggs anymore now that you've got this stuff."
