Bush is most popular in Utah
Poll: More than 60 percent of the Beehive state approves of the president, but most other Americans do not
By Matt Canham
The Salt Lake Tribune

Americans at large are not pleased with their president. But Utahns still love him more than any other state.
The Iraq war, the unstable economy, the much-criticized federal response to Hurricane Katrina and the ongoing probe into White House leaks that may have unmasked a CIA agent all have contributed to President Bush's image problems.
Only 38 percent of Americans give Bush the thumbs up, the lowest approval ratings of his presidency, according to a SurveyUSA report released Tuesday
Utah is the only state to provide Bush with an approval rating above 60 percent. While 18 states give Bush a disapproval rating of at least 60 percent.
"The people of Utah have a long-term vision of what this president stands for," said Ron Fox, who was the vice chairman of Bush's 2004 campaign effort in Utah. "The people of Utah understand the president's agenda and his focus, the necessity of a war on terror."
But Democratic state Rep. Pat Jones, of Holladay, said a lengthy examination of Bush's agenda should result in negative opinion polls.
"In looking at the long-term, I can say that most people's lives are not better today than they were before his administration."

Cain slew Abel, so god made him a negro and cast him out of paradise, making sure that no darkly complected folks could EVER get to heaven. Mormonism is as weird as it is dangerous.

29. Now, think...NONE of Cain's lineage survived Noah's flood...
so whatever "marked" Cain and his line is long since extinct. The new curse, laid on by Noah, was to his grandson Canaan and his descendants. The reason for the curse was that Canaan's father had seen HIS father, Noah, drunken and naked. Lovely story, what? Highly moral and ispirational.

68. 2 best Mencken quotes ever:
1: In a democracy, the two major parties spend the majority of their time and energy trying to inform an ignorant electorate that the other party is unfit to rule. And both do that admirably. And both are right.

2: Reporter: If there is so much in America you don't like, why do you stay here?
Mencken: Why do people go to zoos?

And this poll pissed me off! It make us look like a bunch of idiots that don't know what the hell is going on. On KSL they had quotes from Utahans, One said

"I voted for President Bush but I think there's a lot of controversy going on. But without being too informed I can't really make an opinion about it."

Want another

"I would say he's doing pretty good, especially with all the stuff that's happened. He's handling it pretty well."

What the hell is wrong with these people. do they pay attention to anything!

Please. Like Utah will ever have a terror problem.

It's funny that the states most worried about terrorism will probably never have to worry about it ever coming to their state. It's the sad irony of things. States that did have terror attacks voted against Bush.
