Could this 8 year nightmare benefit Amerika in the longer term?

It occurs to me that, thanks to the inept and blatant criminality of these traitors, literally millions of sheeple have had a glimpse of the real world. By rubbing their snouts in the travesties of no bid contracts for their friends, the appointments of completely worthless cronies to positions of vital importance with no regard to the consequences. Of lying the country into a bloody morass in Iraq for their own profits, pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into the pockets of huge corporations and the ultra rich at the expense of the poor, sick, and elderly. Consolidating the media and thereby enforcing the already rampant ignorance of the amerikan public, stealing our constitutionally protected right to a new start by declaring a bankruptcy, just before changing the rules that will force millions into unsurmountable debt, and on and on and on...
Could it be that these multiple whammies will, finally, wake them up enough to look around and realize that their country has been stolen and they are to be sacrificed on the altar corporatocracy and a One World Government? And if so, what do you think the reaction will be? Replace this bunch of crooks with another bunch claiming to be different because they like a different color? Violence?

1. I hope so, but I'm dubious.

As a country, we evidently didn't learn much from Viet Nam, or else we wouldn't be in Iraq. We didn't learn much from the oil crisis of the 70s, or we wouldn't have built our economy on SUVs and urban sprawl. And those were recent events. Most people who lived thru them are still alive today.

returned W to office or at least made the election close enough for it to have been stolen. The disasters of this administration will severely adversely impact most American for generation IMHO. Hopefully I'm wrong and just a nattering nabob of negativism.

6. I don't think they knew anything of the sort. You and I did, but I am a

politics and news junky going back decades, so I was already digging around when this all started. The average sheeple, however, barely pays attention to any news, and when they do they get it from the propagandists in the M$M, so I think it is something of a shock for them to see/hear these kinds of shenanigans going on in their name.

look at the 80s, more ppl didn't have jobs than did (OK slight exaggeration) in the rust belt and oil belt in that era, yet did ppl wake up or did they just blame themselves & crawl into a hole when they couldn't provide for their families?

sick ppl who can't get medicine, homeless ppl who can't get shelter or food, are in no position of power to "wake up" & do anything other than scramble for survival one more day

the worse it gets for the average american, the safer the fascists sleep at night

we progressives are the ones who had better wake up, if we wait for the average person to be in a survival situation, it will be too late

The ruling class always thinks they are safely insulated from the great unwashed, that's why they believe they'll get away with their shit all the time, however, history shows them to be frequently wrong.
Personally I subscribe to the Russian philosophy, "hope for the best, prepare for the worst".
