| New Meme: Criminalizing politics |
|
Franken and Brock just presented a great segment on the RW's new meme of "compassionate" bullshit:
That the plame investigation is: Criminalizing politics... perhaps a new meme should be and that is, the RW is Endorsing Treason.

| 4. Somehow "Endorsing Treason" rings short and pointed |
|
To me, the truth of it, is really what these guys are doing. They will go to any distance to endorse treason and put their cabal over country.

Now they complain about the criminilization of treason. So that's what desperation smells like.

| 6. Yeah, the point of the story is how Fox commentators |
|
are themselves pushing the "criminalizing politics" meme. It's not their guests but a wide arrey of the hosts repeating the same phrase over and over.
It's a classic example of Gov propaganda deliberatly being pushed on the Fox news channel.

| 10. Think of all the leaders in history that could have used that line as a |
|
defense. Let's see, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, Nixon etc. Maybe the rsponse should be "You are absolutely correct that we intend to criminalize politics in every case where politicians commit crimes."

When I talk to people about the case, I like to say, "Worse than Watergate." In his book, John Dean traces the history of that wonderful phrase from a June 11, 2003 Salon article with the same title, and a September 30, 2003 conversation between Chris Matthews and Ed Gillespie on MSNBC's Hardball.
