not to change the subject but...
remember November 3rd? i was crushed. i remember having this strange feeling as if i had lost a good friend. even to this day, when i'm poking around and i come across my Kerry-Edwards lawn sign, i have an empty feeling come about me.

in retrospect, how was your Nov. 3rd?

2. Same feeling you describe...
Just a dark feeling of dread like having lost a friend.

I'm surprised I was able to eat that day. :)

6. i had grown to like the both of them so much
and i had such a one-way relationship with them, following their every move, day in and day out. sticking up for them day after day. when they lost, it was pretty apparant these were 2 guys i wouldn't have in my life anymore.

sounds weak, but it's pretty much been that way...

4. Frankly, it was a bit of a blur.
Wasn't eating. Spent the entire day (when I wasn't in public) sobbing hysterically. 'twas a baaad day that I have no desire to repeat.

As for the indictments, I'm getting a completely different vibe. I'm feeling much more confident. If nothing comes of it, I'll eat my words, but I honestly think we'll be celebrating a very merry Fitzmas within the next couple of weeks.

10. I have a larger signed Kerry Edwards picture they sent out
After I made one of my donations...I keep it in one of my closets, I always make sure it is turned over so that I don't see the front of it...It kills me every time I run into it, I thought about getting rid of it, but something inside of me likes the memories, I do think we all worked hard, we fought a real fight, but came a little short...I won't get over it until the good guys who truly love America are winning again.

11. I quite wisely stayed home that day.
On Nov 4th I was referred to an anger management class after I quite forcefully informed another co-worker of why I was looking a little despondant.

"They stole the fucking election AGAIN!!!"

I should have stayed home two days.

12. Damn you. Now I have "Take Me Out" stuck in my head. But, to answer
my Nov 3rd was shitty but good.

Shitty for the obvious reasons.

But good because I live in a very liberal area. So most people were in the same funk. And I have a friend who owned a store where a lot of us would just hang out. I went in to visit him, we started talking about the election, and as more and more people (friends of ours and customers) came in they stuck around and added to the converstation.

And I got through by listening to music. Phish, moe., Dead, various jambands. Happy music.

One that really helped: Billy Breathes, by Phish.
