Democrats must be ready with a unified and coherent message instead of merely criticism and negativity about Bush and pals. Situations like this don't come around very often, but the Dems have lucked out again. When an "in" like this comes up, the Dems need to be poised with the right message to espouse.

The Repubs are at each other's throats, and the Admin. is imploding, now is the time...NOW. We can't afford to screw this up!

7. I've been thinking about this a lot lately

and although it would be difficult to wipe the smiles off our faces (for good reason) it will bother me if the overall reaction is happiness instead of anger.

We're talking about massive amounts of corruption. Treason. Treason in time of war in OUR COUNTRY. This is on top of the torture scandal, on top of the Katrina and crony scandal, on top the fact that they lied to us in order to start an illegal war that our soldiers are still dying for...and the list goes on.

I understand why shadenfruede is a very human response and I'll be more than happy to go with it when it comes to Delay and Frist, but what happened to Plame is far too big. Those involved betrayed this country and put people's lives in harm for political revenge and/or gain.

Even if no prima facie criminal activity is discovered, it's still a dirty trick they can no longer disprove or ignore.

The Plame issue exposes without a doubt what bastards they are.

ANY damage done to national security is treason. This means at ANY time, mind you, NOT just during a time of war (which we were in).

We've seen 25 years of "compromise" and "centrism," all under the specious apologetics of 'electability.' In return, we've seen "Democrats" elected that are to the right of Eisenhower Republicans and to the right of Nixonian Republicans! That shit has to stop. It's time to elect and support conscientious liberals with integrity! Kick the Zell-Miller-lite's to the curb. Insist on advocates of human rights not corporate rights. Insist on advocates of trickle up, not trickle down.
