a word on who is and is not getting indicted in the plame case
there are many players involved and many people who have and have not "flipped".

part of getting people to flip is putting the fear into them that one or more of their key cohorts has already flipped.

whether or not it's true, it's part of the prosecutorial game to make it seem like someone's flipped.

so when you hear a "rumor" about this guy is or is not going to get indicted, or is being brought back for more testimony, hmm, what could that mean....

well, it COULD mean that the prosecutor is just playing games. miller testifying again? rove not getting indicted. maybe they flipped! then again, maybe they didn't and the prosecutor is trying to make another witness THINK they've flipped in order to pressure THEM into flipping.

it's all so complicated!

bottom line is, speculation is all fun, and it's great to fantasize about how some of this might turn out, but the truth is, we don't know how this will play out and we will find out soon enough. save your energies for nailing the entire banana republican party to the wall no matter which subset of this particular batch of crooks gets nicked.

2. We're all so focused on Rove and Libby, but Fitzgerald may be headed
in a different direction altogether. Our speculation is about all we can do while waiting for the decision to be announced.

Absolute worst case, no indictments handed down. We still have the Bush nightmare in Iraq, Delay and Frist on the ropes, Miers on life support, and an incumbent polling around 37% less than a year after being re-elected. I hope Fitzgerald tears them a new asshole, but even if he does nothing-BFEE is on the ropes. The amount of evil they can perpetuate over the next three years is still enormous, but they have at least been tempered.

3. Maybe so, but I happen to suspect that most of the WH folks
who Fitz is questioning have been talking to each other at great length to get their stories straight. I know this is illegal, but that never stopped them before.

4. Who knew what, and when did they know it?
When the grand jury heard all this testimony, they heard some witnesses whose stories never conflicted themselves, never seemed tortured. They heard other witnesses who left out important facts and seemed to not fit with other witnesses had said.

Like a 1000 piece puzzle, it all starts to come into focus after a while.

We know for certain that Rove's version of the events differ significantly with some of the journalists. We know that many journalists have fingered Rove or Libby as their source.

All roads lead to one place, and it ain't a journalist. It's ROVE.

My money is on Rove indicted, Libby, too.
