Mike Malloy is a bit nuts.... But I like.... I like....
WFH today and read the people's comments who had never been exposted to Mike Malloy and are listening to him for the first time on Jerry Springer. Fired up iTunes and downloaded today's Jerry Springer.

So Mike's a bit of a loon, but a very insightful and correct one.

My only issue with him is he says he does not like the Daily Show "for obvious reasons"... I don't get it... Mike, why doth you not love Jon?

Enjoying Mike a lot today. Does he read here?

attend DU events. Mike is not a loon. He's passionate and pissed off at the rethuglicans.

I love Mike. Jerry is very middle-of-the-road. It is probably a good thing to expose the Springer listeners to Malloy. A real ear opener!

10. Hi CatWoman!
:hi: I can't believe I missed out on meeting Mike and family at the DU meet up. I was really sick that day and almost didn't make it to Atlanta.

I just love hearing Mike in the morning! It really jump starts my day. Unfortunately, I can't hear him at home. I need to find an archive that I can listen to at work instead of Al Franken. Without Katherine Landpher, Al is really struggling. :(

19. Shelby from radio power is a good person.
If you use her stream, send her a few dollars. She's as broke as I am!

6. I don't mean "loon" in a BAD way..... Should make that clear...
It's the voices that take him a bit over the edge for me.

But you're right, he is passionate. He makes me feel mainstream, and I like that, because I'm usually the one who is over the top.

I will definitely be podcasting him more and more...

11. He has many voices, that's for sure! He's a character.
Probably, he's not everyone's cup of tea.
I just love him. He speaks truth to power

3. I could have sworn that he didn't say that about Jon
He said he liked Keith Olberman better than Jon -- especially after last night's show.

BTW: Mike is my neighbor.

You have a great neighbor...

Our neighbors are um.... not nearly as cool. Right wing pigdogs.

14. "Right wing pigdogs" *snicker* Sorry you've got to live next to them.
Hey there! I see you live in SC. I love SC. Mr. CB and I vacation at Hunting Island at least once a year. We love Beaufort and the low country coastal islands. We were just down there. We caught a big bucket of blue crabs. Mmmm! They were mighty tasty!

8. Mike's not a loon at all, though...
He gives some of the most reasoned, plausible answers and explanations of any AAR host. He's passionate and gets all worked up, but he's not a loon.

13. The Daily Show steals his audience I would imagine.
Its where alot of progressives are between 11 and 11:30 which is during Mikes slot.

16. He's a little frantic for me to enjoy listening to but others love that
--and I'm certainly glad we have so many more liberal voices on the air these days.

Every liberal voice on the air helps!

17. Here's Mike's Direct Quote about 6mins 30 sec into today's JS show...
"I certainly do appreciate the fact that Keith Olbermann has taken a chance and has gotten on board the truth train to expose the lies, deceptions of the Bush Crime Family and how even terror alerts are manipulated by this gang of thugs...

So welcome aboard keith olbermann and I mean that.

I love his program. I love it better than I like Jon Stewart's 'The Daily Show'... for obvious reasons..."

So Mike, why no love for Jon? ;->

21. Okay I'll buy that...
That's what I'll tell myself. ;-) To me it makes no difference. I listen to/watch nothing in real time. I podcast all radio and TiVo all television, that's why the timeslot thing never occurred to me.

I'm glad I asked here.

22. I've been listening to him since 2001 and he has never said he disliked
the Daily Show. Actually he has said a million times how much he loves it. What he said was tongue in cheek. Yes he is crazy...... like a fox.

23. What he probably meant
was the obvious reason being Keith is a real news show. Jon is comedy and he says that himself. The truth for sure but it isn't 'news' in the same way.
