Website 'swapped war photos for porn'
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/10/11/website11.xml&sSheet=/portal/2005/10/11/ixportal.html

The operator of a website which allegedly allowed American soldiers to post gruesome photos of Iraqi war casualties for access to pornography has been arrested on obscenity charges.

Christopher Wilson faces more than 300 charges relating to the distribution of obscene material.

The charges are not connected to the grisly war pictures which appeared on the site, only its sexual context.

A military investigation of the site was launched after complaints from groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which wrote to Donald Rumsfeld, the defence secretary.

1. This guy was on Morning Sedition with Marc Maron.
He sounds like a complete loser. Thinks there is nothing wrong with putting smut on the internet and doesn't give a rip that kids have access to it.

He also had no way to verify his statements that the pictures on the internet had actually COME FROM US soldiers as opposed to the enemy's organized internet rings that are looking to disgrace the American Military in the eyes of the Muslim world.

3. He offered free membership to folks in Iraq if photo proved they were
indeed in Iraq.

Much of the website photos from Iraq are guys in tents, etc -

But Pentagon has story out that it was only grisly war pictures that he was after - and then rather than one charge with 300 counts it is set up as 300 separate charges that require 300 separate bondsmen and bonds for the get out of jail card - and of course 300 bonds will burn through this fellows money.

Noone ever heard of him - and then Two weeks ago he was on AAR commenting about how many of the proof I am in Iraq photos were of dead bodies - does not take long for big brother to come down hard on first amendment rights.

6. "enemy's organized internet rings"???!!! WTF?
Are you kidding?

The only fake internet picture that I'm aware of from the "enemy" was the barbie-doll that some Iraqis claimed was a hostage.
