Journal and Courier (of West Lafayette, IN) is a SHITRAG
Lately, since I have been living at Purdue, I have had the advantage of getting all my news from the Internet (mostly DU). However, whenever I pick up this rag of a paper called the Journal and Courier (when I go home for the weekend), I look into the Opinions section and usually see angry people expressing their disapproval of the Republican Party. Today, however, they didn't have local opinions, and instead wrote a column by Cal Thomas.
This was the article about how Democrats are the party of Corruption. He then gives rants about how "Democrats know corruption".
Right now, I have had enough of the fucking media. Its time to boycott all news media. We don't need Fox or syndicated Newspapers. We do have "the internets", so lets use "the internets" to get news and let shitrags go bankrupt. They think we want propaganda and not factual news, so lets teach them otherwise.

1. Cal Thomas? That's funny. I thought anyone with any brainwave
pattern quit reading anything that hack had to say long ago.

2. hahah
you should have asked around before you read that rag. i grew up in the area and anyone can tell you that the journal and courier, journal review (out of crawfordsville) and the commercial-news (danville, il) are the worst papers out there. the indy star and news is not that far behind in my opinion too.

stop reading those rags--stick to the web, DU and (maybe the Exponent <grin>).

3. Way ahead of you regarding whore media boycott
I let my Newsweek subscription expire 6 months ago, I watch no TV news whatsoever - almost no TV - maybe one hour a month. I get all my news from the Internets, too.

4. Cal Thomas is a hypocrite of
the highest order, no question. I've never been able to stomach his fundie bullshit and blatant hypocrisy. The Dems are always wrong and always evil, and the repubs are always pure and holy and whenever they aren't, it's inevitably the fault of the Dems. Oh, and for him, "personal responsibility" is only for Dems. Just ignore him totally, your brain cells will be a lot happier!

5. No Doubt! I live in West Lafayette Too. The J&C is hopeless.
Makes me think the entire community is horribly right-wing. Have you found any other liberals around here?
