Get out of Iraq NOW - 59% according to CBS poll
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 10:12 AM by Jersey Devil

I wonder how many of those 59% lived in close states like Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, etc. and would have voted differently if we had had a nominee with the guts to say only what Dean would say - that Iraq is and always was a mistake.

3. I am hoping that finally someone besides Dean will get it
Whoever steps up big time will have my vote for the nomination.

2. But, if you're against the war, you must hate America.
Or hate the troops, or love the terrists. Or something.

5. It's time for our people to offer an alternative......
First...... who?

Presidential politics is going to play a role but I'd love to see several Dem senators stand up together.

And say what.......?

Something like this..... please hear me out.....

#1

"We want a new commit to doing what hasn't been done by AWOL/moron since 9/11/2001. We want a military commitment in conjunction with our allies to capture or kill the person responsible for 9/11, OBL. We propose a summit to do just that. Bush has failed to do this for 1480 days now and we want this to be the top priority. (Guess who would be the number one ally to support this position? France.

List all the reasons why the Iraq war was a mistake. Bush lies about WMD and why we're worse off now than before. The American people have already come to this conclusion so it ain't too hard a sell. Then give an alternative strategy for getting us out.... like we want to meet with our allies and the arab states (see above) get a cease fire and bring about a solution. "We (Bush) messed up and we need your (the rest of the world's) help."

I'm fairly certain the reaction to any non Bush plan would be welcomed by world leaders.
