So...how much more can the government takes before it collapses?
It seems like since Katrina hit, the government has been hurtling toward the ground like a meteor across a clear night sky. Major congresscritters in big trouble. A Resident growing more looney by the day, surrounded by indictments, no bid contracts, making really odd appointments to the court. More tax breaks for the rich and big oil, while putting even MORE on the charge cards. The dems just keep sitting on their hands or going along with it all. And tonight? They have apparently been caught issuing a phony terror threat tonight. Americans are losing faith in their government, and it is over a year until they can do something about it. How long til the whole thing tumbles apart like a house of cards? :scared:

1. Anyone who has any faith in this regime...

following today's miserable shenanigans really needs his or her head examined. Or his or her ass kicked.

2. "miserable shenanigans" indeed...it's the dems who must hold it together
but I do not know if they really want the job.

3. I was sort of thinking about that this morning.
Its like we have a rogue elephant in the oval office trampling all over the constitution, a Crony Recycling Plant has been built out in the Rose Garden, and all the President's men are lined up at the White House fence looking like a bunch of directional signs all pointing at anyone and anyone but themselves.

4. Well if you guys would do my credit card rebellion
we could end it all in a week. Total market crash.

That would, probably , not be a good thing though. I mean to purposely destroy the American and world financial empire and brake billionaires down to blubbering sobbing idiots, could lead to some kinda angry people who might look unkindly on those who masterminded their demise. :)

5. Well, at least we could start over, ala the Depression...
and put the emphasis back on the public good.

6. No money = No power
And there's a whole lot more of us than them.

7. They were saying on MSNBC tonight that the gvmnt is largely inoperative
now. Can't remember if it was on hardball or KO but someone said "you have no idea how difficult it is to function with a grand jury waiting to pounce."

That's ok with me. Rummy's talking of resigning, and they're gonna take out Karl. The chimp will run away to crawford and give up the country to cheney. I doubt that he'll have the clout necessary to get anything passed. It will all slow down to a tricle, waiting for the 06 midterms, when the dems will come out fighting, passing all kinds of bills, bringing DC back to life. Whoever wants to stand in for the chimp at that point will know that he's there to deal with the dems, and keep the damage to a minimum.
