Media Playing Shrub Speeches as Him Trying to Stem Tide of Failure?
From MSNBC.com, where it's tucked into a corner: Iraq speech -- As support slips, President Bush defends his policy.

Does this administration not realize that every time they parade the puppet out this frequently, they make themselves look more desperate and more untrustworthy?

1. Exactly
It is so obvious what his handlers are trying to do. Since his failure to act as Pres. during Katrina, he has been in front of the cameras more times than in the past 4 and 1/2 years.

Desperate. They are desperate.

2. There are still a lot of people that follow * because he is the president.
When people say mean things on TV my Democratic dad says they shouldn't say things like that about the president. It's old school thinking. Your suppose to have a lot of trust and respect for the leader of your own country. That is gone for at least 50% of us.

really do, no shit, view *ush as genius, a strong, resolute man who has demonstrated his moral fiber by triumphing over personal demons and is willing to take on the humma humma of the slack-spined, endlessly compromising politicos. I think they really are so in thrall and worshipful of this person who seems to embody the condition they wish their consciences were in that they truly believe that the majority of Americans will come to believe on him, the way they do, if only exposed to him enough.
This is the definition of evangelism. Evangelical christians feel that if they drag you in front of their leaders, or bring those leaders' mental churnings to you enough, you can fall into the same rapturous fog that they, themselves, enjoy.

It is certainly a natural fit, when one is so sure (Insert Bush or Karesh,or even Manson, here) _______will fulfill your needs that they are willing to mortgage their values, their loyalty, or, if there exists such an animal, their very souls to forward the teachings of the venerable master--witness the mass dive into falsehood, criminality, and deceit of the mass media and the vast majority of leadership.
