Stupidity of dust
Well I feel like an idiot today.
My 'puter has been fucking up for over a year.
It would suddenly it shut off and restart without warning.
It gradually got worse..over time..
I wondered was it a software conflict? no..
Hardware conflict? no?
what was wrong..? I couldn't find anything..
A nasty Virus?
I wondered.. So I backed all my stuff up,
Took out the battery let my computer sit for two weeks undisturbed...
It worked ok, for a few months, than we got our floors redone than it shut down again, just like before WTF??So,I tolerated it for another few months.

Until two days ago, I frickin HAD IT. When I tried to update virus protection and it went kaput.Wouldn't load the operating system. Oh shit. I decided to lump it and unhooked it and I took it to a repair shop near where I live. The Diagnosis..It was DUST!!

DUST!!!

Apparently I was told dust got onto the processor where my airpoof can would not clean it very well. So I have to lift up the case and clean it out that way..Now everything works fine. And dammit now that I know, I am keeping this bugger clean!!If you ever have something bizzare happen like a computer shutting down randomly,it just might be dusty..Whodathunkit?

And I took it to the repair shop dreading a huge repair. Before getting it back I thought of all sorts of horrible problems..and all it was ,was dust.
Hey regardless I'm glad that's all it wuz..
D'uh!

2. If you'd posted this last week, I wouldn't have believed you...
but, over the weekend, my husband decided to try to find out why something was making the terrible noise that was periodically coming out of his CPU. Took the case cover off...it was the FAN on the processor chip, clogged with dust.

dust sucks
